alright so basically I work with this gay guy and he was playing a song today from this playlist he made, I think it was from Glee or something. I said "this song is campy" and he started acting all surprised and he was like "how do you know what that means?" I told him I just know it from the internet and it's basically synonymous with "corny." he said it has a connotation in "certain communities" and he's really surprised I know it/use it

and I was like oh true I didn't know it had that connotation. so he asked another person there if she knows what it means and surprisingly she did. and then he asks her if she knows what a bunch of other words mean (she's an older lady so he was curious) and one of them was the word "woke." and later on we started talking about how the meaning of that word has changed so much over time, and it used to mean having an enlightened perspective on societal issues but now it's kind of a derogatory term republicans use toward anything liberal

this eventually led to us discussing Tucker Carlson's outrage at the fact that they made M&Ms less sexy, which we had a good laugh about. but then later on we're in the break room just chilling and as he's flipping through a magazine, he just happens to find a picture of all the M&Ms in an ad
