"Swedish Death Metal" by Daniel Ekeroth

Am about 3/4ths of the way through this incredible book and it has inspired for me a massive death metal kick, as one might expect. Give me all your favorite death metal, Swedish or otherwise. Early melodeath is fine but i'm mainly looking for the straight-up stuff otherwise. As much as i love grind and other adjacent genres, I want the meat and potatoes of death metal! List is recent listens as a result of this list, im aware they're not all swedish. Also.. what's the best Swedish death metal in your opinion? argue below.

Probably my favorite of the bunch that i've discovered as a result of this book. Yes, "how the fuck did you not know Dismember", is fair to say here. My discovery of bands has always been a disjointed process with lots of gaps..thus this list!
