Deathconscious 05.01.23	The idea that a band can tarnish their legacy by releasing bad albums is dumb. If a band releases a bad album their great albums are still there exactly as they were before, there is no tarnishing. And nah, bands should keep going as long as they enjoy doing their thing. If i dont like it i just wont listen.

I disagree, there's a lot of bands that release like 2 or 3 amazing albums and then they consecutively put out garbage every time after that and it effectively ruins their image.

Shemson 05.01.23	Bands can tarnish a legacy by pissing off old fans but also they can ruin the chance of making new fans. I hate U2 because of the crap they released over the last 20 years and will never listen to their old albums but I bet I’d like Joshua Tree if I ever tried it - would expect many others would be the same

JDubb 05.01.23	Let me caveat my inclusion of Iron Maiden. I’m a fan of pre- and post-2000 IM, as long as Bruce Dickinson is in it. But any band complaining of Mary Jane in the audience has been touring too long.
