01.26.23 | The underlying secret hidden within this book is to flush it down the bog for an overwhelming sense of satisfaction. |

01.26.23 | I heard the book is tricky to read because of the wacky and random formats
But tbh, that book would get me into reading for the first time since Diary of a Wimpy Kid (An all American classic) |

01.26.23 | I will admit half way through it kind of turns into an endurance test because of how schizophrenic the formatting gets but it’s really good and worth the read for the experience alone. The Johnny character is kind of annoying though but it makes sense later I guess |

01.26.23 | one of the authors other books I think it's called only revolutions is way way harder to read. Its written in like this weird creole dialect and you gotta turn the book upside down and backwards n shit every few pages to keep up with the story from both character's perspectives. or you can read the story from one character's angle and read it again from the other's |

similar experience here except i didn't survive the endurance test beyond the schizophrenic portion after long enough. good luck my friend! it is a fucking wild read. |

01.26.23 | Took me a couple tries (and doing it with a bookclub of close friends keeping each other on pace/accountable) to finally finish the damn thing, but I'd say it's worth it. Definitely pretty dense, and inarguably up its own ass, but there are some sincerely beautiful and chilling moments in there, and surprisingly well-drawn characters that emerge from all the formatting silliness and frame-narrative-upon-frame-narrative jargon. |

01.26.23 | The ending of the in-story narrative about the house was very satisfying for me when I read it 20 years ago. I think it’s a great book but could understand why people wouldn’t have patience for its formatting, and tbh it’s dry as hell for most of it. |

01.28.23 | This is one of my favorite books ever! |

01.28.23 | yeah even though I put it down twice now (it's just like in the book!) and the furthest I've gotten is like maybe halfway give or take (also it's kind of hard to tell with this book), I definitely wouldn't write it off... actually really need to get around to attempt number three this year |
