Pretty great variety of stuff. Obviously highly respect you as a fellow Within Temptation connoisseur. I also didn't see anything blatantly out of place at any rating tier from the quick glance I took. Some of my favorites are rated low, but that doesn't factor in (much).

My initial assessment of your chart was not thorough enough. You actually are rocking that quad metal spread, along with a side of hardcore. This only leaves 13% of non-ear-murder music on your chart. Do you enjoy headaches or something? I also overlooked this sheer metal quantity when looking over your ratings solely because I don't know any of it. However, this will not stop me from poking fun at some of these artist names. I feel like metal groups either name themselves something overly edgy or after obscure, outdated words. This is exemplified by such classics as "Malignant Altar," "Angelcorpse," "Napalm Death," "Diocletian," etc. You can't make these goofy ass names up ffs. Rn I'm just imagining you browsing through music and seeing a group called "Cyanide Swallowers" or something of the sort. With you then saying "damn they seem like something I'd enjoy. Let me give them a listen." (In actuality your taste is quite expansive across genres as I said before)

Yeah um it was incredibly difficult to find anything to like about your ratings if I'm being perfectly honest. I get not liking stuff, but a bunch of your very low ratings definitely don't deserve to be that low from any perspective. If they were all at mediocre it would be fine, but most weren't. Like personal taste would dictate having a few of them really low obviously, but the sheer quantity just screams heavy, unjust bias across many artists. I just can't respect it tbh.

Playing it relatively safe with those 5s aren't we?  Your chart does stand out to me as an eclectic mix of genres with a decently even spread. Not many things raised my eyebrows in your ratings, but c'mon Screen Violence at a 2? It's definitely not my personal favorite CHVRCHES album, but it has some nice stuff on it. Maybe give it another shot. I also saw Metric - Pagans in Vegas low down. Which I understand and agree with to an extent, but I recommend checking their other albums. Specifically the one at the top of the list. For your lists, I didn't look too closely at the content, but the topics are quite nice. Overall, Fyre approved taste.

Well I think anodes taste in scornfyres taste in peoples taste is in bad taste because anode himself doesn't have good taste in music. My guy unironically has an Asking Alexandria album at a 4. On top of that, you also only have 96 ratings. Stop slacking and get to triple digits already. Maybe then you can be a 6.

I'm very happy to see Fantastic Planet and Black Celebration as 5s. Those alone earn you many points in my very biased book. While your table indicates a lot of death metal, in reality you have an amazing variety across most genres. I would like to see a bit more indie tho if that's up your alley. I do disagree with a few low things (like RHCP ofc), but those aren't gonna hurt your score cause it's understandable. I especially vibe with your 1s, and that AJR sound off is still one of the best ever on the site lmao. Overall, I highly respect your taste even if I personally don't agree with some things.

I'm also giving you FP since YoYo didn't have it at a 5.

TEN THOUSAND FUCKING RATINGS. My guy is up to 5 sig figs ffs. Get a damn life sheesh. Also 52% metal sub-genres isn't a good look on someone with TEN THOUSAND FUCKING RATINGS. Jokes aside, it becomes thoroughly difficult to properly criticize/mock your taste when there's 10k+ stuff to comb through. Chelsea Wolfe is awesome tho. Respect you for giving her a bunch of 5s even if I wouldn't do so myself.

A country fan. Interesting. Very interesting. I don't think I've seen it on a pie chart in this thread so far. Congrats on being unique! I also love to see the classical music in there. It's something I need to get more into myself. You should get on some indie, synth pop, and new wave tho. I don't have any comments on the placement of artists since everything (that I know of) looks in order. I also checked your lists, and let me just say they are netting you extra points. The top one is exactly like something I would do myself, and I respect you for it.

Frankly I find overly positive people insincere and quite vexing. We all dislike some artists/albums we come across. That is just a fundamental, unavoidable law of reality. The only reasons to not have ratings lower than a 4 is either you aren't rating the stuff you don't like, or you're lying. How is there supposed to be a point of comparison as to what you truly find exceptional when you don't include any of the stuff you find lower than a 4, a rating that still means you find an album to be awesome. Your average is a 4.6 ffs. That's the same rating as the highest thing on this site. All the rating tiers exist to be used. Reevaluate yourself and use them.

Praise thee for putting Kanye West exactly where he belongs (in a rotting landfill). Completely unrelated to your score, but I finally decided to try Dead Can Dance after seeing it on literally everyone's ratings. Because there is nothing terribly offensive to me about your ratings (which is quite unfortunate for the quality of this write up), I will make my strong distaste for Beck and Creedence known to the world. That doesn't effect your score though (obviously) because that is 100% my personal bias. You are quite respectable.

Minortimbo12 - 12/10

The man, the myth, the Minortimbo has finally arrived. Alongside a few others, he is the one I was waiting for. Where do I even begin.

From a certain point of view, Minortimbo12 has the most refined taste out of everyone on the site. Not matter what metrics we as individuals use to determine musical quality, Minortimbo has an extra one: the Christianity Scale. Through this, Minortimbo is able to experience music on a far deeper level than the rest of us. His unique perspective allows him to witness the true, hidden majesty of artists/albums that our feeble minds just simply can't comprehend and deem to be "utterly rancid." But Minortimbo can find value in even the most abhorrent music imaginable as long as it is Christian or Christian adjacent. He can bypass the quality check, which opens the door to potentially enjoying far more music than any of us can.

While I and many others might view Skillet as "creatively bankrupt" and "displeasing to the ear," Minortimbo is able to find the great merit that is obscured beneath the surface, outer layers, inner layers, and even the core. This applies to many other artists as well.

At the end of the day, isn't this the true spirit of music. Being able to find enjoyment in things regardless of the perceived quality by the majority. One man's trash is another man's treasure as they say, and Minortimbo certainly has found a lot of treasure to like.
