Always wanted to uproot to another country but I'm a habitual creature who fears change and I've never taken that leap. Koris 10.30.22	Yeah, it’s a bit intimidating for sure. I learned some Japanese on Duolingo beforehand so I could communicate with the locals and order at restaurants… I just hope my inflections were at least decent 😂

PitchforkArms 10.30.22	Koris, were you working there? Expat work for an American company or working for a Japanese one? I always find that stuff so interesting and what the motivations are to uproot - especially heading somewhere where I presume there was a huge language barrier for you

Koris 10.31.22	Thanks everyone @pitchfork: I was working at the Naval base there. So it was a combination of both American and Japanese civilians/military. But the language barrier was honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. Plus, at sushi joints, they usually had an iPad menu you could plug your order into
