14 Years Sputnam Veteran

Fourteen years of reading your shitty opinions and I'm still here. The flame wars aren't as hott as they used to be, but I'm grateful to have a place to appreciate and disagree about music. Cheers to all of you and to my longest tenure on a website (probably). List is all the bands I'm seeing live soon. Let me know if I'm in for a good time.
1Coheed and Cambria
No World for Tomorrow

Saw them over the weekend. Good setlist, mostly just the hits, but Final Cut and End Complete were nice to see. Somehow was only my first time seeing them even though they were my #1 in high school. Best part about this show is that I took my brothers to it for their first concert - Coheed is also their #1 band in high school. Made sure we got to the front row.
2The Used
In Love and Death

Co-headlined with Coheed. They had phenomenal energy. I only knew the hits, but they put on a seriously good show. Recommended.
3James Blake
The Colour in Anything

October - Probably my favorite vocalist actively making music so I'm pretty excited to see him. This is also probably the only one of these shows that my boyfriend is legitimately looking forward to, but he's being a trooper and seeing all the metal bands.
4Cradle of Filth
Cruelty and the Beast

October - Another one of my favorites in high school, but I honestly think I like them more now. I'm assuming they put on a really good show, small venue though. I feel like even their commercial stuff has aged really well.
5Imperial Triumphant
Alphaville

October - Surprisingly, this will be my first tech-death show. Really looking forward to it because Alphaville blew me away and they have a super cool presence.
6Pyrrhon
Abscess Time

October - Touring with Imperial Triumphant. I've really liked everything they've put out.
7The Menzingers
After the Party

October - Second time seeing them. I had such a good time the first time around as they were pretty much my favorite band at the time. This is one of the few favorite bands I have in common with my friends, so this one is more for social purposes.
8Judas Priest
Painkiller

Halloween - Absolutely needed to see them for obvious reasons. This is their 50th anniversary tour so I'm really looking forward to this one.
9Sabaton
Carolus Rex

Halloween - Touring with Judas Priest. I don't think I've ever listened to them. Any recs for songs / albums I should check before the show?
10The Flaming Lips
Clouds Taste Metallic

November - I've been dying to see them since forever due to their live reputation.
11Opeth
Watershed

November - I had tickets to see them in February or March 2020 and obviously didn't get to. I've got unfinished business with Opeth.
12Mastodon
Emperor of Sand

November - I probably wouldn't see them, but co-headlining with Opeth was a no-brainer. Am I the only one who puts Emperor of Sand as their favorite album? I tend to like their more commercial stuff.
13Yngwie Malmsteen
Parabellum

November - I love unapologetic shred, and I love Yngwie's attitude towards his music. Should be a good time watching the master at work.
14John 5
The Devil Knows My Name

November - Opening for Yngwie. He seems like a cool dude, but I don't know much of his music.
15Meshuggah
Nothing

February - Touring with Converge. I've got four months to figure out how to headbang to them.
16Converge
Jane Doe

February - I got balcony seats in case they play Concubine.
