09.20.21 | @bgillesp nice, yeah lots of great stuff that is easy to forget, especially the stuff that just so happened to get knocked out in the first Discovery match. Some albums also had really great songs even if the album was so so. I remember loving "Munich" by Cressida. |

09.20.21 | Although I've participated in only two tourneys (plus this one), it always has been a good time. Personally, it was a way of discovering new music. That Szobel record is my favorite of all three tourneys.

09.21.21 | Welcome, y'all. Yeah Mathematical Mother is deserving since it was a little-known album that slaps. I think it had literally zero ratings on Sputnik prior to the tourney, and a surprisingly low amount of buzz even on RYM or Progarchives. It might have picked up some buzz on Progarchives since then, but definitely deserving! |

Thanks for the years of great tourneys, Friday! I always looked forward to them, and I always came away with so much great music. Definitely a Sputnik highlight for me. So many of these records will be in my regular rotation for years to come. |

I listened to a lot of the mainstays and loved them but fell into a real slump trying to find stuff outside of them that really clicked. 10.07.21 | What do you guys think of this album? It's the highest rated album on Sputnik so far this year, and while Sput has this classified under tags like post rock, classical and ambient, for me, it scratches the same kind of itch that prog rock scratches.

10.08.21 | @Divaman definitely looks to be post-rock, but nothing wrong with that. I've always gravitated more to post-rock with vocals (Talk Talk, Slint, Bark Psychosis, Sigur Ros) but always interested to hear new stuff. |
