Dropped the ball

Recent albums from these bands has been like a dropped pass or, at worst, a fumble. Neglecting what their fans want. Or just too into themselves.
1Leprous
Aphelion

This makes Malina their last great prog metal album, sadly. This album about puts me to sleep in spots.
2Queens of the Stone Age
Villains

Was expecting a lot more after …Like Clockwork
3Gone Is Gone
If Everything Happens for a Reason...

So much promise - but pretty bland
4Steven Wilson
Grace for Drowning

This applies to Any of his solo albums - give me back my Porcupine tree!!!
5Elder (USA-MA)
Omens

A pedestrian follow up to Reflections of a Floating World
6Baroness
Gold and Grey

Not bad songs, but Needs a remix - SO BAD!!!
