Shuyin: Godzilla Vs Kong

Shuyin 04.02.21	I was expecting the fight to end up in a draw but Godzilla actually won, holy shit! Kong got the kill on MechaGoji (which is bullshit!!) so it's all good I guess. MechaGoji looked freaking badass, i loved that part when he became self-aware and slowly turned his head to attack the evil scientist guy. And that metallic roar was also a nice touch Goji got fucked pretty hard in the end.. even with all that hollow earth nonsense going on, seeing my boy getting slammed like that was the hardest thing to watch. At the end Goji looks at Kong like "pfft.. asshole" and just wanders off, brilliant

Tundra 04.04.21	This movie was the first time I heard of the Hollow Earth stuff, it's something I just rolled with when watching the movie, but it's a monster movie so suspending disbelief is a must when watching something like this. 2014 Godzilla is eh, a decent first movie I guess but their was a lot of parts that dragged, and the villain kaiju in that movie where so drab and boring.

JeetJeet 04.05.21	2014 Godzilla really made Godzilla feel like a true force of nature. It all felt so grounded and the buildups made it feel so much more special when you finally saw him fucking shit up. It reminds me of how Cloverfield took the "less is more" approach with the monster.
