Best TV Theme Songs

What songs perfectly set you up for what you’re about to watch? I’m gonna throw a couple out off the top of my head, add more in the comments and if I like them I’ll add them too.
The Devil's Walk

What a show this was. Theme always got me in the perfect mood for some mind-bending headfuckery.
2Massive Attack

Massive Attack-Paradise Circus
Another top draw show with one of my favourite songs kicking it off. The song oozes mystery, sex and sins and set you up perfectly for a top gritty police drama.
Valley of the Damned

Game of Thrones
Still gutted how they ruined the show, maybe one day we’ll get the book ending but not holding my breath!
Theme tune ruled though undoubtably.
4Dog Fashion Disco

Adventure Time
5The Lonely Island
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

Brooklyn 99
6Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Walking Dead
Theme was epic, got me hyped, shame the show massively dropped in quality.
7Angelo Badalamenti
Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks
Loved this show, hated the return though
8Bloodhound Gang
Hooray For Boobies

Fit the vibe perfectly and saw sales of theremins skyrocket
9The Killers
Direct Hits

Classic montage of Dexter doing normal morning stuff but managing to look a bit ‘murder-y’
Was a great show for the first five series and was still a good show until the last half hour! ...fingers crossed the reboot gives us the ending the show deserves.
10Dead Rabbits (Techno)
Make Fun Acid

Classic UK series with the most poorly timed I advised American attempt at a reboot right at the start of the global pandemic...
11The Horrors
Strange House

American Horror Story
Love the slight tweaks each season
12Arctic Monkeys

Peaky Blinders
Love the integration of the theme into the openings of each episode
What a great show too, could do with more Tom Hardy cameos!
13Fever Ray
Fever Ray

Fever Ray-If I Had A Heart
Kinda went off it after a certain main character was no longer in it (avoiding spoilers) but the theme was perfect and the first few series were very good
14Alabama 3
Exile on Coldharbour Lane

Alabama 3-Got Yourself A Gun
Great show, iconic intro
15Massive Attack

Massive Attack-Teardrop
I liked House, not sure it deserves such a good theme but there it is
16HORSE the band
The Mechanical Hand

Bojack Horseman
Outro theme is better than intro theme but both solid
17Vampire Weekend
Modern Vampires of the City

Nerf Herder
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
The first show I watched which had individual episodes but one major story arc running through each series. Definitely my favourite kind of show where there’s a long progressing ‘major’ storyline.
18Crystal Castles
Crystal Castles

If I remember right, E4 did a fan competition for who could write a theme tune...
Talk about lucking out when this was submitted, it’s perfect
19DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince
Greatest Hits

Fresh Prince
Yeah it’s iconic, it gets on the list
Sailing the Seas of Cheese

South Park
Gonna have myself a time
21Father John Misty
I Love You, Honeybear

Father Ted
Perfect theme for a classic comedy
Pocket Monsters Original Soundtrack Best 1997-2010

You all know it and can sing it word for word unless you’re a lot older than me
23The Simpsons
Songs in the Key of Springfield

The Simpsons
Hard not to add, also iconic
24Family Guy
Live In Las Vegas OST

Family Guy
Once great show, always catchy tune

Another great shout
