Divaman 01.04.21	A decade or so ago, my wife and I had this little coffee house we used to go to every weekend for live music, and they had this thing called "The Mystery Shake". The idea was that someone would order the Mystery Shake, and the proprietor would mix three unknown flavors of shake together (They had eight or ten to choose from.) Then, if the customer could correctly identify the three flavors in their shake, they'd get the shake for free. I always said that when I died, I wanted to be cremated, and have them keep my urn in the cafe. And then, every so often, they could add me as one of the flavors of The Mystery Shake. Unfortunately for them, I outlived the coffeehouse.

I quit the booze a while ago as well as coffee, but replaced it with a diet soda here and there, Im probably missing those the most.

I wasn't hospitalized because after the first 3 weeks (which were just fucking the pits THE PITS. throwing up blood / stomach acid / lung gunk like i was getting paid for it.) I had a stretch of about a week or so where each day i felt like i was improving. then covid came back and i was like "this time, it's personal" but i am starting to feel a little better again, the last two nights i actually got to sleep before daylight! i do have an appointment at the hospital lined up though and i'm hoping my neurologist will be able to speed it up since he was the one who got it for me. Take vitamin D, a friend told me to do that, and it seems to have helped a lot in the last week

But I think most of the people I knew had already stopped skating before the COVID (because it's not like they were getting paid or anything.) So, not right now, really.

For me it's a very thin line between a 4 and a 3.5 or 4.5, so most of the time I just stick with a 4 when the album is excellent and memorable, but not as remarkable or innovative to make it very close to being an masterpiece as in a 4.5, i.e., while 3.5 ratings are for albums which have some interesting songs, and that had potential to be something really good, but then that are a lot of songs that are not as captivating or interesting.
