Top 10 Worst Albums of 2020
1AB
Himothy

One of the worst albums I've ever heard. The Rap version of Angelic 2 the Core, but A2TC is better because the campiness and genuinely of A2TC makes it at least ironically funny. This is just a gigantic tidal wave of embarassment. The album art looks more rushed than the Virgil Abloh pop smoke cover. I only listened to the 37 minute version, I refuse to listen to the 80 minute cut but I imagine it wouldn't change Himothy's placement as the worst album of 2020.

Highlight: AB making a diss track on a woman who accused him of rape
2G-Eazy
Everything's Strange Here

Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven if it was shit. The cover art is horrible and so is the album. Every track is incredibly boring and shamelessly self-indulgent.

Highlight: The comically bad cover of David Bowie's "Lazarus" had me rolling on the floor laughing and crying.
3BTS
Map of the Soul: 7

oh my god this might be the most corporate, faceless album of all time. I refuse to write another essay on BTS, just see my review if you want to know why this album sucks so hard.

Highlight: the failed BTS invasion of sputnik music
4Green Day
Father of All Motherfuckers

I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS THE SAME BAND THAT MADE DOOKIE AND INSOMNIAC WHICH IS A SLIGHTLY BETTER DOOKIE

Highlights: No Swedish Songwriters. No Trap Beats. 100% Pure Uncut Rock.
5Justin Bieber
Changes

how ironic is it that a project named "changes" consists of some of the most stale and repetitive songs I've ever heard. There are a few interesting concepts here (like the titular track) sprinkled in between a series of droning, 2017-esque pop sounds. This album lacks any sort of charm or replay value. Also yummy was a horrible choice to be the lead single as it was by far the worst track on this album. This has to be the nail in the coffin for Beib's failed comeback.

Highlight: Beiber's gigantic "pls stream yummy pls give yummy #1 song" ad campaign. Dude spent so much on ads he'd make a politician blush. Then he lost to a single by a then-unknown Roddy Ricch.
66ix9ine
TattleTales

I think an album like Tattle Tales has a lot more significance in the music industry than people realize. The soulless production and repetitive vocal preformance from 6ix9ine on this album is garbage, which is indicative of a bigger picture. For years hip hop heads have called this era of rap "The SoundCloud Era". 6ix9ine was the last real artist who blew up off of soundcloud (maybe Lil Tecca after him but 69 the last one to go mainstream) and now that his hype has cooled off and he's been exposed for the talentless hack that he actually is, it's time to say goodbye to the soundcloud era. Artists like Lil Uzi Vert and 21 Savage have successfully made their transition into the mainstream hip hop world while artists like Lil Pump, Ugly God, etc. have been left behind. And I think that an artist as "controversial" as 6ix9ine whose entire existance is to get attention, being boring and forgettable, is the most cruel fate possible.

Highlights: None this album was forgettable as fuck.
7Fiona Apple
fetch the bolt cutters

this album is overrated and sucks. its just another example of pretentious teen girl music that has zero charisma or replay value. people love this album just because it has a good message and they really wanted this album to be good. pitchfork gave this a 10 in a pathetic attempt to try to drum up some controversy not because the album actually deserved it.

highlights: pitchfork giving this a 10 because "muh i hate men muh woman better than men now give me clicks"
8blueface
Find the Beat

blueface has really fallen off in the last year. it's sad because I liked the energy and creativity he brought, but his act got stale. fast. not to mention that the title for this project is literally based off the meme that blueface cant rap on beat.

highlight: 2 Diccs made me roll on the floor laughing cause I thought blueface said "2 dicks in my ass"
9NAV
Brown Boy 2

fucking nav. you're the blue screen of death in the hip hop game. never forget when nav's verse was intentionally turned down on stargazing and fans went "hey turn up nav's verse we cant hear him" so they released an updated version with the nav feature more clear and people went "yeah turn that shit back down". anyways this album is the same cookie cutter garbage we've been hearing for years from nav. theres nothing new here than "look at me im brown and sad". This album is so long its such a chore to get through. I dont even hate nav's musical aesthetic, but it's the worst parts of the weeknd and lil uzi vert smashed into an unoriginal, dull, sad little bootleg.

highlights: nav hyping up the "brown boy 2" cover art as "way better than good intentions this gon be crazy" and its this https://e.snmc.io/i/150/w/aa486fb6b54d0d2e4669068f29192bf2/8180070
10Gunna
Wunna

3 words: Same old shit. Gunna is one of the most derivative, grayscale copies in the music game I've ever seen. He's not garbage like an AB or G-Eazy where his songs are insultingly bad, there's just no deviation here. I cannot tell the difference between any of the songs on Wunna here. Go back to featuring on Lil Baby and Thugger tracks, Gunna.

Highlights: The gunna fat memes that spawned around the time of this album
