After the Acoustic set I decided that I wanted to go see her full show which i had previously been undecided on. It was a 4 hour set that took a lot of inspiration from Bruce Springsteen's recent Broadway shows. She went through stories in her life and all the controversy she faced. It was an emotionally tolling performance, and focused a lot on body positivety and women's health. It was beautiful.

A really sad and heartfelt show here. Brian halfway through the set talked about how his was the biggest crowd they've had in years, and that the gym was the biggest venue they've played in years. And the rapturous crowd really gave him faith in music again after becoming so disillusioned. Of course this was right before they dropped their final record and went on their final tour. It's a sad but warm memory I have of this show. |

Kelly is such an amazing bassist and I could see that these songs meant a lot to a lot of the people in the crowd so I can't hate on it too much. |

Sister Cities heavy, but Wonder Years are always fun live, and I feel like it is a fitting final band for the final Bled fest. I dipped out early so I could start my drive to UP and go to the Dark Sky International Park. I got there at 3-4am, but the sky was worth the tiring drive. Unfortunately I missed the Wonder Years close out Bled fest with All my friends are in bar bands featuring free throw, hawthorne, spanish love songs, and a few other bands. |
