Post-hardcore recs/digs.

I've spent much of the year getting to know and love this genre, so these are some of my favs. If you have any recs based on below, that'd be cool. Hopefully I have something on here you haven't heard of. And yeah, I'm aware of At The Drive-In and Glassjaw.
1Armchairpolitician
Seven Segment Decoder

The length of this is understandably a turn off - 70+ minutes is a bit much. But if you love it like I do, you probably want more and wish this band hadn't faded into obscurity. I'd love to review this, once I figure out how to.
2Fugazi
The Argument

Currently my favorite Fugazi, though Red Medicine is close. I'm pretty surprised with how catchy and full of depth this swan song is.
3Unwound
Leaves Turn Inside You

Essential, and I'd argue this is more indie rock than post-hardcore much of the time. An album has yet to be released that has the same effect as this one, much less any that came before it. As stated by many, the perfect autumn album.
4Reuben
In Nothing We Trust

Any of Reuben's three album could make a case for being the best, but this one nails it for me. The band's evolution in their songwriting capabilities is on full display here with many of the band's best songs. I can't say I'm a big fan of frontman Jamie Lenman's most recent work, but I can't deny how amazing his voice is, especially here.
5Sparta
Wiretap Scars

Drastically underrated album and unfairly overshadowed by the more popular ATDI spin off. I wish the band's two following albums were anywhere the caliber of this.
6Boysetsfire
The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague

I'd label this more melodic punk in mid-career Rise Against vein, but there certainly are post-hardcore characteristics. Extremely catchy and varied front to back.
7Drive Like Jehu
Yank Crime

Essential. Released in 1994 and built the foundation for many post-hardcore greats. Holds up very well, even today 25 years later.
8Bear vs. Shark
Right Now You're in the Best of Hands

Fun.
9mewithoutYou
Catch For Us the Foxes

I don't really consider the band's work after anywhere near post-hardcore (okay, maybe a little on Untitled).
10Nothink
Spotlights

Widely overlooked and stellar album. High recommended for fans of Fightstar and Anberlin's harder tracks.
11Thrice
Vheissu

of course
12Thursday
No Devolucion

Best Thursday, what a way to go.
13Refused
The Shape of Punk to Come

respect and well earned.
14Fugazi
Red Medicine
15Bear vs. Shark
Terrorhawk
16Standstill
Memories Collector

Hidden gem. Most of the band's stuff is in Spanish, yet this one is English and combines much of the genres best qualities.
17Crime In Stereo
Crime In Stereo Is Dead

Essential Brand New-core.
18Eleventh He Reaches London
Hollow Be My Name

unique
19Faraquet
The View From This Tower

mathy tight release
20Hell Is For Heroes
The Neon Handshake
21Meet Me in St. Louis
Variations on Swing

Faraquet plus Reuben
22Unwound
Repetition
23Frodus
And We Washed Our Weapons In The Sea
24Shiner
The Egg
25letlive.
Fake History (Re-Release)

Essentially mallcore that is okay to like and goes pretty hard. Bonus tracks here are top tier.
26Craw
Bodies for Strontium 90
27Anchoress
Anchoress is Ruining My Life
28Malady
Malady
29Smart Went Crazy
Con Art

On the indie rock side of things but a really interesting listen. A lot of the ideas here are very forward thinking.
30Night Verses
Lift Your Existence

pretty long but quality. Phoenix is top knotch.
31Cursive
The Ugly Organ

Gentleman Caller, love letter to a borderline
32Snapcase
End Transmission
33Decahedron
Disconnection Imminent
34Planes Mistaken for Stars
Mercy

album art + cool vocalist
35Engine Down
Demure
36Jawbox
For Your Own Special Sweetheart
37These Arms Are Snakes
Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home
