|Dungeon Synth & Ambient digs|
I rated or /added a bunch of albums, so I picked some which might worth a listen.
I might wanna do a series about this topic, not sure.
If you like Fief or medieval music, this is for you. "Compendium II" is also excellent!
Places In Middle Earth (demo)
The first demo was trash, but this one is great - especially the long first track "Gorgoroth". This contains different styles from atmospheric drone, lo-fi synth and some black metal vocal parts - I guess for imitating Smeagol?
Commune of the Gnomes
Folk-based dungeon synth, based on the folklore about gnomes. Very atmospheric, and an easy listen.
Silver of Winter
Some winter synth. First of all I love the cover picture, fits well to the music: very "chilly". This a very short EP, so I'd recommend to listen more stuff from this artist.
Another medieval based ambient music, but in a slightly different way. Less memorable melodies, more atmosphere. (This album contains the first demo as well).
Superb ambient drone. The whole album was made using only electric guitar and effect pedals. This artist deserves much more attention.
|7||Carbon Based Lifeforms|
(This already has a decent amount of ratings) I just recently discovered this project, and I was hooked immediately. It's difficult to describe what is this...some spacey drone, I guess?
|a bunch of good stuff on here, thanks!|
If you haven't listened to it yet, I enjoyed Daniel Harris - Awaken a lot; it has a very classic DS feel to it (which makes sense since it was written in the late '90s)
