Sharkattack 08.02.18	I used to spend a lot more. I’d buy like 10 records a month or so but now I’m much more poor so I barely ever purchase records.
Drifter 08.02.18	In the past two or so weeks I've spent about $200 I think. Half of which was spent Tuesday at a store and today on discogs. Too much.

butcherboy 08.02.18	i only buy LP's and 7"'s as wall décor nowadays.. picked up the Bowie Heroes single last week.. they're too bulky to lug around when travelling, you can download (pilfer) vinyl rips of music, and people who claim there is better listening quality in most modern records who aren't recorded with vinyl modalities are full of shit anyway..

Nazzadan 08.02.18	Somewhere in the neighborhood of $200-300 a month, mostly on LPs but I get a fair amount of digital releases I really enjoy and a CD now and then.
RadioheadIsOverrated 08.02.18	Little to none since we're in an age of streaming. I mean I only really buy the music I care about since I'm broke lmao. I've basically been buying 1 record a month of average.

Nazzadan 08.02.18	@sitruk6 I mostly order online but about once a month I take a trip to my local record store about a block away to see anything new they've gotten in.
Drifter 08.02.18	A mix of both online and irl. I can't drive so I have to rely on people taking me which is about once every month/two months. What I buy online is mostly harder to find stuff since I won't likely find it irl. I don't typically get common things online so I don't have to pay shipping/i could just get something else less common in place of it

Nazzadan 08.02.18	I've actually found some good stuff for cheap going in to FYE and checking their vinyl clearance section. The people that shop in there pass up on really good releases so they end up on the clearance rack for ~$10. Last time I picked up New Bermuda for I think $9.99.

RadioheadIsOverrated 08.02.18	@sitruk, I used to buy online more, but now I only usually do if the record isn't available anywhere. I actually drove almost an hour the other day to get Ye. I noticed in this streaming age, many companies put little to no work into little extras in the case like there used to be.
Sinternet 08.02.18	i do listen to a lot less yeah, and i find myself just listening to the same stuff too mostly which means i barely listen to a lot of new stuff now. lol drifter i might do one soon actually i havent done one in like six months and deleted all the others. I still pick up like 10-15 albums a month but I cba with the expense of things like vinyl these days unless it's special

bgillesp 08.03.18	Well I came here to say "too much" but don't feel as bad seeing some of these numbers now. Its like $40 a month or so for me, except Devin Townsend is releasing a vinyl box set series (2 of 4 out so far) running $170ish a piece with overseas shipping that I can't pass up

Morningrise767 08.03.18	I used to spend a lot on CDs as a teen. Now I mainly buy digital or Vinyls I really like. I'm a lot smarter with my money nowadays. I will listen to albums on Youtube/Apple music, and if I really dig it, I will buy it. Otherwise I save my money haha.

Grimlin 08.03.18	In the last year, I've purchased approximately 80 CDs, 10 vinyl and 3 tapes. I'll guess that's about $1000-1200 spent. The previous two years were probably triple that. I've been buying for many years, but the last 11 or so have definitely seen a rise in activity. This year is lower due to my move to a place the requires much more money to live, and no real high paying jobs. I also use money I make from selling music as well, so that helps. Though, I'm getting to the point where I have nothing I want to sell.

Demon of the Fall 08.03.18	Recently I've been taking a break & just paying £10 for Spotify, was around £30-£40 a month which seems reasonable. The only reason I'm 'taking a break' is because I'd prematurely buy stuff I'd just discovered & it's probably best to give music a little more time to settle & see if I come back to it regularly. Then it goes on my (imaginary) 'to buy' list, in priority order.

bgillesp 08.03.18	I'm always too tempted by the dollar bin discogs sellers who sell old stuff in bulk for cheap. I know Jefferson starship is amazing but for a dollar? And then there's 30 others I feel the same way about they're selling and I'm like "25 records for $40? How can I pass this up?"

budgie 08.06.18	discogs has my record collection between 4-8.5k in usd, my speakers msrp around 1.5, receiver was 600 secondhand, psu for turntable was 400 or so, turntable 700 secondhand, 300 denon cart, 300 secondhand transformer for the denon so basically way more than i can ever justify but w/e ill die happily listening to beautiful sounds
