A Small List of Halloween Songs

I know this has been done a lot the last days but I just felt the need to do one myself due to how much I was in the mood for stuff like this today.
1Gentle Giant
Gentle Giant

Brilliant song-writing and really inventive. Nothing like their later stuff, too.
Nursery Cryme

The Musical Box

Not that spooky, but it’s a ghost story and it’s an amazing song so what can I do?
Ghost Reveries

Ghost of Perdition

There’s obviously a whole lot of other stuff by Opeth that qualifies, especially the My Arms, Your Hearse album, but this song was the most obvious to me so I just went along with it.
4Cradle of Filth

Cold Mirrors, Her Ghost in the Fog, Swansong for a Raven

Cold Mirrors is merely an intro, so that one can be skipped. The other ones are among the best they did. Not a fan of the band myself but the brilliant lyricism in these songs is the very least you have to admit. The atmosphere is also great.
5 The Flower Kings
Adam & Eve

A Vampire’s View (+Days Gone By)

The album is totally average, but this song is amazing. It features Daniel Gildenlöw of Pain of Salvation on vocals with one of his best performances – he’s definitely having fun embodying a vampire.
6Avenged Sevenfold

A Little Piece of Heaven

Gets too much shit, and regardless of that, its atmosphere is Halloween personified.
7 King Diamond

Them & Conspiracy Marathon

Yeah, just both albums back to back, why not.
Bela Lugosi's Dead

Bela Lugosi’s Dead

THE classic. Perhaps the most gothic song ever to exist.
9The Birthday Massacre

Still one of their very best song – if not the best – to this day. The changes between the sugar sweet verses and the dark chorus parts is soo effective and it’s also catchy as hell.
10Danny Elfman
The Nightmare Before Christmas

If I ever do a christmas list, expect this to be a part of that one, too.
