Stranger Things Season 2

Was super hyped for this it sucks.
Taken by Force

So the general idea of the season arc is the same as the first season, but instead of one united goal, all the characters are off doing their own thing and basically ruining all the developments and relationships built in season one.

The best character choice of the first season was Nancy as a strong female making her own decisions and staying with Steve even though film culture over the years conditioned viewers to expect her to dump him for John. But two episodes into the new season and...all of a sudden she doesn’t love Steve anymore and eventually she is talked into loving John. Character development lost, and instead of continuing the story of what could gave been a great power couple, we have this flacced side story with Nancy and John.
No Heavy Petting

Eleven...well, she developed strong friendships and an amazing presence in the show in the first season. In the second she is nothing but an afterthought before her bad plotline halfway through the season when she runs away and joins a gang of street punks because...?

The two new characters Max and violent step brother...achieve nothing. Violent step brother becomes a rival of Steve because...? And Max joins a love triangle between Dustin and Lucas because...? There is no reason for these characters to be here.
Endless Skies

Everybody is off doing their own thing and none of the relationship developments or story arcs we cane to love about the first season are present here. All the good things that we ended on at the end of the first season have been dissolved. I am so bitterly disappointed with this season.
Kill 'Em All

And Joyce, regardless of whether or not you found her annoying in the first season, was a tour de force, a single mum doing whatever she can to find her son with no emotional support from the people that vilify her behaviour. In season two she has a boyfriend who she relies on in times of duress. I mean it’s alright to find a partner, but her and Hopper had a much more dynamic duo relationship that would have made more sense to pursue. Now there’s just this other guy who came out of nowhere that she needs to do all her busywork.
