|Back Into Skyrim|
Playing Skyrim last year is by far my favorite gaming memory I have and I'm getting back into playing again after almost a year since I started the last play through.
Started with this back in the beginning of November and it instantly became my favorite album (but soon grew off, just a little). I remember specifically going through the dwemer ruin that you go through to get the sword for Mgol the Lioness (I think it was this but it may have been just a random one, either way it was a dwemer ruin).
Welcome To Tha Chuuch: Da Album
Then I got this and jammed it a bunch while exploring the area south of Riften which I didn't even know existed until that play through.
Then it was this. I went into it hoping for some nice obj boost because I HATED Drake, but as Keep The Family Close started, my whole world was changed. It was just so magical. I listened to this album over and over and over every day exploring and fighting for a month. Never got tired of the album and is now my favorite album of all time again like it was last year.
I was able to listen over and over again because I trimmed it down to create a perfect moody and gloomy album. Here's the track list for it:
1. Keep The Family Close
3. You With Me?
4. Feel No Ways
5. Weston Road Flows
7. With You
10. One Dance
11. Too Good
12. Summers Over Interlude
13. Fire & Desire
I Am the West
Then, as time went on, I stopped listening to Views as much (still like twice daily though) because I wanted to listen to some new music. I listened to a few things but I remember jamming this up near Dawnstar just wandering around along the hilly coast and eventually turning around and going into the snowy area sort of between Whiterun, Windhelm, and Winterhold.
|5||Drake and Future|
What a Time to Be Alive
I remember jamming this while going and getting the hagraven heads in that one cave for that one quest
I Am the West
Eventually I started relistening to my favorite episodes of Snoop Dogg's hilarious podcast, starting with the Ice Cube one and was exploring the area east of Solitude and found that Castle way out in the water that I never even knew existed.
R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) - The Masterpiece
Then I was listening to the two with Seth Rogen around the southeastern area of Markarth on the mountain with all the forsworn (and got totally destroyed because there's about a thousand).
I forget when exactly this happened but I remember listening to this in the area east of Whiterun towards Markarth I think fighting bandits after bandits after bandits.
This actually was one of the first memories of the play through I think. I remember I was up in the icy area between Dawnstar and Winterhold and believe me that was the best possible time to listen to Corpus, Christi
I jammed this in the area between Morthal, Whiterin, and Dawnstar around the Labyrinth and spent like 45 minutes trying to figure out the ginormous maze inside (which I never even solved iirc).
So yeah. Back into Skyrim. Whenever I think of Skyrim, I think of Views, Blackstar, and the Welcome To Tha Chuuch album as well as vice/versa. Especially Views. I will never be able to think of Skyrim or think of the album and not think of that experience of playing. Running through to all the vendors in Riften and running to Whiterun when they were all out of money and then to Windhelm. Ah, such good memories
