14Gorgeous Children
Gorgeous Children

(hip-hop/trap kinda?) - same as above ^ but i'm straight addicted to this.. there's something so comforting about its complete surrender/complete nihilism
15Nozinja
Nozinja Lodge

"Nozinja is a South African artist, producer and DJ credited with the creation and popularisation of the ‘shangaan electro’ genre of African dance music, influenced by traditional folk, Tsonga disco, Kwaito house and township backstreet dance styles from the Limpopo region of South Africa. (onkyo) - first experience with the genre.. just wow. incredibly charming and beautiful and yet completely incidental. i've heard a few more examples since, but this one sticks out as particularly communal and i love that about it. you really feel like you're in the room with them.

(ambient noise) - thx sach, i find this one strangely satisfying. not really a whole lot to it but there's something so alluring about the way all the foreground popping and cracking plays off the warm tones underneath

(classical/experimental) - again, just dipping my feet in now. saw this categorized as an early example of electroacoustic fuckery but it kinda just sounds like brilliantly warped 'classical' to me.. info/guidance there is appreciated
39Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center
Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center

(classical/electronic/experimental) - definitely the coolest thing i've put in the database.. it's a recording of a concert performed at Columbia in 1961.. and the music is mindblowing by any standard. check the most immediate one here, Milton Babbitt's 'Composition for Synthesizer'
40Toshimaru Nakamura / Ken Ikeda / Tomoyoshi Date
Green Heights

(onkyo) - leaves me slack-jawed
41Abominable Putridity
