|I just released a new single.|
I've started producing under a new outlet, one that lets me make shorter songs and have a lot more freedom with my music styles. So I tried a style I've never done before: folk.
Every single sound in this song was recorded by me. There is no sampling of older material. It was also recorded largely with a game microphone.
I took a trip to Corvallis, Oregon, and spent a few nights in a tent. I saw a lot more stars than I had ever seen before. The sounds of nature were so much louder than I'm used to. I recorded a lot of samples. Songs like this were floating through my head.
I don't anticipate making anything else this organic again. It's really difficult to do without the right set of sounds. And if I did it too often, every song would sound the same.
But anyway, here it is. lavair - corvegas 2/13
Here's another inspiration for the single, even though I thought Eucalyptus was just okay.
