Concerts I've Attended

I decided to keep a running tally of all the concerts I've been to, with descriptions and such added over time. I'm very lucky to have seen the bands that I have being only 22 now, and to have such great family and friends around who helped mold my music taste to what it is today, and in many cases get the tickets to these shows. Covers are the album they were touring on and/or the album they played the most songs from. Almost all of them took place in Boston, Gilette Stadium where the Patriots play, or the Comcast Center.
Black Ice

My first major concert, this one with my dad who I had been listening to AC/DC, and many other bands, with for much of my childhood. This was an unforgettable one, at Gilette stadium. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJNWa0_mGcA
No Line on the Horizon

Same arena as the AC/DC one. This was their 360 tour, and the setlist was fantastic. U2 were one of the first bands I ever remember hearing in the house, and my mom and other family members were thrilled to be able to get tickets and finally see them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6pw-GYNJnc
3The Beach Boys
Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys

This was a free outdoor concert that tons of people around the Boston area attended, another with my dad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF7H9qzVYhY
4Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzfest: Another with my dad, Ozzy also had tons of bands I was into at the time at the show like Devildriver, Motley Crue, and others. Fun fact: The Devildriver guitarist's dad was actually my dad's doctor for a while. My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dVWzahb5JE
5A Day to Remember
What Separates Me from You

There was also Pierce the Veil and We Came as Romans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q_Nye_aYhg
6Bring Me the Horizon
There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It...

Same concert, also Pierce the Veil and We Came as Romans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4d06xlb7Ks
7Herbie Hancock
The Imagine Project

This was an outdoor concert with my dad, and the bass player was awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyhVQl0UuEg
8Victor Wooten

Him and Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse) did a bass concert at the Berklee College of Music, which I considered attending for a while to study bass guitar. I met Alex after the show and told him what a musical inspiration he was to my playing, he was a really cool guy. 9Queens of the Stone Age
...Like Clockwork

This is probably the best concert I had been to yet (probably tied with AC/DC and U2), completely badass with an amazing setlist. My dad scored my friend and I tickets, who had introduced me to them earlier that year, and this show confirmed them as one of my all time favorite bands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVb9RvQlHsY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUmfnYOGfK8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGElwlpqtjo
10Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

Mind-blowing stuff, they rocked the place. Shout out to Sputnikers Green Baron and Snake Delilah who were also in attendance. My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueLBF2J7DDA
11Modest Mouse
Good News for People Who Love Bad News

Same place as Brand New, so an incredible night to see both bands. It was worth the 5 hour drive to New York to see them. They had also played some early, extended versions of what would become Strangers to Ourselves tracks like "Lampshades on Fire" and "Shit in Your Cut." My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu3mba55qB0
12Arcade Fire

Since the QOTSA one, these were all with the same friend, and we'll hopefully go to more shows at some point. This one was quite the party. Elaborate costumes, amazing setlist, and practically front row seats. My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIFRcqBe4Oc
13Steven Wilson
Hand. Cannot. Erase.

I consider my time on this website to have been the most valuable when it allowed me to (unofficially) see this show. Here's how it happened: My dad emailed my review of this album to someone who was selling the ticket online, as we were looking to see Steven Wilson live. The guy selling it read my review, and seeing that I was a fan, just sent me the ticket for free. Major score for sure, since Steven and his band played for hours, including the entire album for an electrifying experience. It would have been great to have gotten another ticket so my dad could go too, since he introduced me to Porcupine Tree over a decade ago. It was one of the best shows I had ever been to. They even played a few PT tunes, "Lazarus" and "Sleep Together." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU3p6ovfYi8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4d0GB26Bds
14Bear Hands
You'll Pay For This

The following four were the same place and time, Spring Fling festival at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Rhode Island with my girlfriend, who probably knew more about some of these bands than me. Bear Hands are a great underrated act. More dimensions to their sound live than in the studio imo

What Went Down

Foals were amazing, and the reason we went to this. They played a rare live one, Red Sox Pugie. My concert friend who saw them in PA was jealous I saw them play it, haha. My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsL8ILi0lgo
16Silversun Pickups
Better Nature

Hadn't heard much from these guys before, but they were great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buRYUUi0LBo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm0J12SjGvI
17Cage The Elephant
Tell Me I'm Pretty

I hadn't heard much from these guys either, but they had amazing stage presence. I don't know if the music itself quite matched up to the intensity of their performance, but very solid all around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI3-7c8M3YI

(Deafheaven side project Creepers too) I was really glad to have caught this tour of one of the best albums of 2016. The setlist was amazing, and the guitar tone was impeccable. My footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZQ2tl_bWFA
19The National
Sleep Well Beast

Amazing show, really cool lights and video throughout too. My footage
