The story starts off super interesting, but when there is no L constantly figuring out Light's plan (Mello/Near paled in comparison) it became so boring to me. I finished the series but I was let down for a show that started so strong. |

11.25.14 | the second season of Death Note was bullshit. Near jumped to conclusions that just /happened/ to be right (making the ending feel cheap and unfulfilling), Mello was never very interesting, the plot went from tense and clever to convoluted and arbitrary...it was just a mess. |

11.25.14 | imo the second part was just a tad bit disappointing because *SPOILERS* most of the stuff was a bit ridiculous, when in the second part the plot was actually believable (for manga/anime standards) and had great mind games. also lack of L in the second part hurt the story big time even tho his death was a shocking, iconic moment. they just didnt have a decent character to replace him |
