Sure, a free market is infinitely better then strict regulation, BUT a completely free and open market is just as terrible as the alternatives. "A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system." That is the advantage, it does create more efficient decision making, so I put Strongly Agree. That doesn't equate tho to whether or not I think the most efficient way of operating something is the best or moral. There were a few others.

For instance, if you applied that question to say Eastern Germany in the 1980's, they'd probably emphatically agree with the statement, BUT if we apply it to the Industrial era of the US and the UK under the conditions that inspired Karl Marx to write Capital, a freer market would further tyranny.

Also, who are you referring to in the market? Their are multiple players in the market. A regulation can hurt business but benefit consumers and on the flip side a bailout or subsidy could benefit business and hurt consumers.

You cannot pick and choose when by default you benefit immensely from Government spending. Case in point, even if Futures decides to be a hermit, and build himself a log cabin and live alone in Montana, he still benefits from our Government's defense spending (that a nuke won't slip through and burn his cabin to a crisp), he has clean air, clean water, ect.
