| Some Great Hiphop From The Last Few Years
Kinda bored right now, so i had the brilliant idea of creating a list on Sputnik. Title is self-explanatory | 1 | | Kendrick Lamar good kid, m.A.A.d city
Not much to say here - this album's pretty much a modern classic. If you haven't heard it, you're probably living on mars. | 2 | | The Roots undun
I really love this album - it's perfect in a unique kind of way that i really can't describe. It's also one of the albums that really got me into HipHop, so it's definitely on my list of personal classics. | 3 | | Casper XOXO
You probably haven't heard this album unless you speak German. If you do speak German, you should definitely check this album out. Some really awesome personal HipHop mixed with kind of Indie - influenced beats. | 4 | | Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
I've never heard an album quite like this, and i don't think i ever will. Kanye is simply a genius, always looking to push the boundaries of HipHop (and music in general, for that matter). | 5 | | Kendrick Lamar Section.80
Not quite as good as good kid, m.A.A.d city, but an incredible album nonetheless, showcasing Kendricks immense talent and giving a taste of what was to come. This album introduced me to Kendrick, and even though i didn't dig it at first, i found myself coming back to it quite a few times, and eventually enjoying it quite a bit. | 6 | | Killer Mike R.A.P. Music
Produced by El-P. Nuff said. Also Killer Mike spits fire across all 12 tracks. | 7 | | El-P Cancer 4 Cure
El-P is, simply put, one of the best producers of our time. He's definitely up there with Kanye in terms of innovation, and this album not only proves his insane production skills, but also shows that he can write some damn good bars. | 8 | | Run the Jewels Run the Jewels
Kind of obligatory since i put both R.A.P. Music and C4C here. More of the same stuff found on those 2 albums pretty much, but hell, there's really nothing wrong with that. | 9 | | Ghostface Killah Twelve Reasons to die
Really great album, i love the production on it, and Ghostface delivers a great (albeit a bit too violent) story. If you like Wu-Tang, you're gonna love this. | 10 | | Macklemore and Ryan Lewis The Heist
I have to say, I really like this album. It's a bit inconsistent at times, and i would have liked it to have less features (especially in terms of hooks - they are really hit-or-miss), but it's saved by some amazing lyrics and almost flawless production. | 11 | | Frank Ocean Channel Orange | 12 | | Aesop Rock Skelethon
Great album, but i hate the fact that i have to look up his lyrics to get what he's talking about. | 13 | | Drake Take Care
A bit inconsistent, but i still enjoyed it. | 14 | | Earl Sweatshirt Doris | 15 | | Eyedea & Abilities By the Throat
If this album wouldn't feel so insanely unfinished it'd be a lot higher. | 16 | | Blu No York! | 17 | | The Roots Things Fall Apart
Is there some way | 18 | | The Roots Things Fall Apart
to shorten | 19 | | The Roots Things Fall Apart
my list | 20 | | The Roots Things Fall Apart
after creating it? | |

09.21.13 | RTJ and Mack are overrated but u should have put NWTS over Take care | DanielNightLewis
09.21.13 | "Up there with Kanye" is an insult to El-P. | Phlegm
09.21.13 | I honestly don't know why people say RTJ is overrated | Departures
09.21.13 | This list is very limited. | Masochist
09.22.13 | ""Up there with Kanye" is an insult to El-P."
Disagree. It was Kanye's production on MBDTF that made me a fan, not his rapping. The exact same thing is true for me about Jay-Z's 'The Blueprint'. He's an arrogant S.O.B. in real life, and his rapping is a mixed bag throughout his catalogue, but his production is consistently top-tier (at least in my eyes). | Trebor.
09.22.13 | DJ Yogurt, when is your first single "A Good Source of Calcium" coming out? | oltnabrick
09.22.13 | Don't talk about bad taste in hip hop, you don't even listen to hip hop, you don't even have a clue rwhat it is - something in your shampoo? what? that explains why you give this a 5. The only people rthat give this garbage pop music a 5 and have the nerve to call it hip hop out of complete ignorance rof what the fuck you are even talking about are people like Kanye whose little arrogant minds are 99% rdevoted to themselves and their meaningless lives of primadonna bullshit drama, so they enjoy music that is entirely egotistic bullshit that is meaningless pop music to anyone who can spell their own rname. Btw your avatar is a pokemon you bitch.
