| Mr. Nobody
Who has seen Mr. Nobody with Jared Leto? Viewed it for the first time a
couple days ago. It's been stuck in my head. He does a fantastic job. A lot
of vibrant symbols, extremely well-thought out, philosophical without being
vague and pretentious. Highly recommended for those who are feeling stuck
in life or.. less than satisfied... Albums are which have been haunting me. | 1 | | Benjy Ferree Leaving the Nest
Actually this a recommendation rather than a haunting. For those of you who are
into Brendan Benson and the like. (Get on this, klap!) | 2 | | Bjork Homogenic
I'm so bored with cowards who say they want - but can't handle | 3 | | Lorn Ask the Dust
Dark, grimy, electronic | 4 | | Dark Time Sunshine ANX
Also not a haunting because it is too new. Merely a dig but let's see. | 5 | | U2 War
Jesus Christ, "Drowning Man" has punched me in the gut so many times. | 6 | | Leonard Cohen Songs From A Room
Naturally | 7 | | Pulp This is Hardcore
Truly. | 8 | | Swans Children of God | 9 | | The Album Leaf In A Safe Place
Not necessarily dark, but it does drowns you in itself | 10 | | Tim Buckley Lorca
Not sure what it is about this that laid its eggs in my mind. But it did | |

07.19.12 | Jared Leto is a pretty solid actor but 30STM is worse than cancer
i'm interested in watching it though | PuddlesPuddles
07.19.12 | He goes to Mars in the movie, too. Bwaha. I definitely like him more as an actor, although he has a good voice the 30STM music itself is ehh | WeepingBanana
07.19.12 | yeah when he got hacked to death by Christian Bale in American Psycho oh man that's dedicated acting | Graveyard
07.19.12 | 8 rulz | cuki92
07.19.12 | 10 is class | blastOFFitsPARTYtime
07.19.12 | Yea movie's pretty tight. His second best after Requiem. I liked him in Lord of War also.
Definitely a better actor than muso overall. | PuddlesPuddles
07.20.12 | Lord of War... Without spoiling it, that scene is awesome. | Eclecticist
07.20.12 | Mr. Nobody is one of my top 5 favourite films. | Deviant.
07.20.12 | I recommended it to someone on here recently, (need strange movie recs) or something. I love the film, though the first 20 minutes are terrible. Once we get past the angels of oblivion sequence with the babies and the unicorns everything picks up. Don't really get why people were so confused by the movie though | PuddlesPuddles
07.20.12 | It's definitely going to be mine too. Rarely I feel a film is truly perfect but this is. The Red/Yellow/Blue symbols, the directions and patterns, water... The intro is great | PuddlesPuddles
07.20.12 | Yeah, I was a bit skeptical going into it because when I was recommended it, the guy gave this explanation making it sound like a new age feel-goodery about parallel dimensions and bent sciences.
But it's literally all well-thought out and refreshingly bareboned at times. From ancestry to quasi-immortality, success and defeat, risks that pay off and don't pay off, jobs you might never have but would want, natural incidents for better/worse, the potential of acting in every moment or choosing to let things be...
Leto took a break from acting, I heard, afterwards. I can understand.. I almost want to take a break watching anything all together to give this the introspection it deserves. | klap
07.20.12 | i will check out 1. nice pulp | PuddlesPuddles
07.20.12 | His albums are on Spotify, dear klapper. Not a lot of him on Youtube. Songs "In the Countryside", "Leaving the Nest", "Great Scott!" I hear Benson and funny enough, Jack White. | klap
07.20.12 | i just got leaving the nest, gonna check it out after my next review |
