| Ranking Glassjaw In A State Of Pure Joy
I am the happiest man in the world right now. I live in Portugal, and it rhappens that almost none of my favorite bands ever get to play here or raround. It's kinda frustrating. So then there's this festival, Resurrection rFest 2012, in Spain, that has a ton of bands I like, plus one of my 2 rfavorite bands: Converge, who I've never seen live. Pretty awesome, uh? rNow imagine my surprise when today, when I come home and check my rFacebook newsfeed, they announce another headliner: Glassjaw, my rother favorite band. This is gonna be the best summer ever! | 1 | | Glassjaw Worship and Tribute
A classic on it own. Has its heavy and soft moments, and it blends perfectly to
create a perfect post-hardcore album.
Favorite Song: Pink Roses | 2 | | Glassjaw Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About
It was their first real breakthrough album. A couple of misses are the only thing
that keeps this from being another classic.
Favorite Song: Ry Ry's Song | 3 | | Glassjaw Our Color Green (The Singles)
Yeah, it's just a collection of singles, but every one of them is fucking awesome. A
great comeback.
Favorite Song: You Think You're (John Fucking Lennon) | 4 | | Glassjaw Coloring Book
It's way different from their previous releases, but that doesn't make it any worse.
Proof Glassjaw don't need to get stuck with a tried and true formula to make great
songs.
Favorite Song: Vanilla Poltergeist Snake | 5 | | Glassjaw El Mark
The only reason it's so low it's because there are only 3 songs. But all of them are
still great, not a weak spot in there. More of a calm and slow record.
Favorite Song: El Mark | 6 | | Glassjaw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Well, it's forgivable since it was their first. But some songs where the foundation for
some of their best hits ( "Pink Roses" and later "Stars").
Favorite Song: Star Above My Bed (The Call Of The Tiger Woman) | |

06.12.12 | yeah well 4 should be 2 | Dolving999
06.12.12 | To be honest, I do listen to 4 way more than I listen to 2. It's just... the songs are somewhat longer and harder to digest. It's the kind of record I'd rather listen at home rather than, say, at the bus. | Pentagon
06.12.12 | accurate ranking, although I disagree with your fav songs. But have a great time at the festival | Havey
06.12.12 | I want to see them too :[ | Dolving999
06.12.12 | Btw, the festival has such names as Unearth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Hatebreed, At The Gates, Nasum, Pianos Become The Teeth, Descendents and the aforementioned Converge and Glassjaw. It's a mix of hardcore/metalcore/punk, perfect for me! | Wolfhorde
06.12.12 | inb4 flaming.
Not sure about Glassjaw live, heard Daryl's a pretentious hipster now. | Turtlestlker
06.12.12 | Festival sounds awesome. | zombi666
06.12.12 | You are in for a treat, Converge best live act I' ve ever
seen (watch for Jacob Banning warming up in the
crowd before they come on stage) and Glassjaw, saw
them a couple of years ago at Soundwave Australia
and I was already a fan but after seeing them live I
realised how awesome they are, Daryl is a great
frontman. | Tyler.
06.12.12 | 4 and 5 should be switched | WeepingBanana
06.12.12 | i agree that 3 is better than 4 | Havey
06.12.12 | nah |
