Review Summary: Overall this album is like a trip through life. With it’s ups and downs good choices and bad. I have really enjoyed this album! A real big step up for Moneen.

Well this is Moneens album that really started to get them known. They are a pop punk band from Brampton, Ontario Canada. Known for their long song titles, Moneen has a very bright future a head of them.

Are We Really Happy With Who We Are Right Now?-This is their signal off of this album. The guitar riffs are very strong and powerful and the lyrics are quite cleaver. This song asks the question “are we really happy with who we are right now?” and the answer is yet to be determined. Very good song to start off this album.
4.5/5

Start Angry...End Mad- Another powerful song. This seems to be very angry, the opening line says quote “Screw you and die I hope you burn”. It seams to me that this song is about a guy or girl letting out their feelings about an ex-lover. This song isn’t that catchy but the riffs are very loud and out there screaming out “DIE”. Generally about people starting angry and ending mad and how those people deal with the anger.
4/5

To Say something That Means Nothing Anymore- This song is a little bit softer than the past two songs. It’s possibly about a relationship or a crush between to people and one of them like the other but the other has not really noticed the other person yet, then that person finally notices the other who has a crush on them and that person has a chance to be with them but he or she backs off. Basically they end up liking each other and everyone knew that they loved each other all along, quote “there are no more secrets anymore” This song is overall an ok song.
3/5

With This Song I Will Destoy Myself-Another one of their some what softer songs. Kenny describes this as “ yep ... the love song”. This song is about when love sometimes goes wrong. There are not too many details it’s pretty straight forward. It does have a happy ending though, no one ends up destroying their self.
3.5/5

Closing My Eyes Won’t Help Me Leave-This song is generally about someone messing up and feeling that they want to take back what they said, go back in time even. Quote “Decide my fate is it too late? To change it all and mend mistakes”. It is also another some what softer song on this album.
3/5

I Have Never Done Anything For Anyone That Was Not for me as well- This is the softest song on the album. It is really hard to really understand what this song means with lyrics saying “We’re the same we’re the same way” and “reward the devil let him know who you are”. I am really not sure what this song is about at all, is he worshiping the devil? Or is he relating to him in some way? I’m not sure. But this is one of the bands favorite songs to play. Overall an ok song.
4/5

How To Live With The Thought That Sometimes Life Ends- In this song the best part is the intro. The overall riff is just amazing. Kenny says that “ This song is not about the fact that older people die but the fact that they can live knowing that one day they are going to”. That pretty much say’s it all for this song. With lyrics saying “I won’t say goodbye, and I refuse to watch you die I won’t forget”. Overall a wonderful song.
4.5/5

Life Is Just To Short Little Ndugu- This song is generally about life. From being born to falling in love, getting hurt, having dreams crushed, fulfilling dreams and getting old and dying. Saying that you only have on chance to live so you should not fall in to the same old routine that everyone else does, just to get out there and enjoy being alive. Saying “ If where all the same, where did we come from... and why are we here”.
4/5

Thoughts Weight Heavy... Don’t Get Drowned In The Weight Of It All- Kenny says that this songs means quote “Don’t dwell on the bad ... it might drive you crazy”. I have to agree because this song is about someone thinking a lot trying to figure something out, going over and over different situations about things. “If feelings change I can rise up and face these strange ways that my mind sometimes takes thoughts sway this way and out of my head...she said”.
3/5

The Last Song I Will Ever Want To Sing-This song is about someone leaving, and your trying to keep that memory of them last and really stay with you so you can always remember them and never forget. Kenny said about this song “I have never had to say goodbye to anyone for good before. It was easily the most difficult thing I have ever had to deal with. Everyone deals with loss in their own way.. for me it is to remember” This is another one of the softer songs on the album and possibly one of the most heartwarming.
4/5

Well the answer to the question asked at the beginning of the album “are we really happy with who we are right now?” and on the back of the album and also if you noticed there are italic letters in the song titles. They spell out the answer to that question. We are who we are.

Overall this album is like a trip through life. With it’s ups and downs good choices and bad. I have really enjoyed this album! A real big step up for Moneen.

Overall- 4/5

This is actually an amazing album in terms of what else is out there. These guys are one of those bands that I can't really say "Okay, they're this and this and this, and they're influenced by this, this, and this", but they're still pretty accessible. Nothing too complicated.

The album's very chopped up in my opinion. They throw their songs around and make some crazy dynamics.

You should've looked to do a bit more than simple lyrical analysis, as the review in no way captures the power and feeling in the actual music and doesn't do it justice. Don't get me wrong this is a great album but I feel like the way the instruments melded together and the attention to detail really should be reflected better because it was the music's combination with the unique vocal style and song writing that really made this album good.

This album's really good. I was expecting some pretty standard emo but I was pleasantly surprised.
