During The Late 80' and the early 90', a lot of metal masterpiece came out. Records such as Season In The Abyss by Slayer, Rust In Peace by Megadeth and ...And Justice For All by Metallica had make a revolution into the metal music. Kreator is one of the band who is forgotten.

The Band lead by Mille Petrozza on Vocal and Guitar is probably the best Thrash band still active today. Kreator brings you into the world of agression and heaviness. Coma Of Souls is the album that give them a recognition. At the time, the band as change is production a lot. The sound on this record is a LOT better than the ones released before.

When The Sky Burns Red is the starting song. It start with a clean guitar melody with acoustic rythm. After a couple of second a lead enter the place. The chaos came after this little intro. Fast Rythm and drums work. Petrozza's voice is very unique. The chorus is so good. It sticks in your head. After the second chorus a harmony riffs is played by the guitar duo. The Solo is nice and a lot more melodic than Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman do in slayer. After the solo an solid riff is now taking the place. The Song Finishes with the harmony riff and the main riff.

Coma Of Souls is knowned to be one of their biggest classic and a permanent pieces on their live setlist. The Intro Riff is one of the best I've ever heard. The main riff progression is nice and thight. The Songs as a lot of speed changes. It goes from a fast picking riff to a slow palm muting riff. The Chorus is really nice. The first solo is insane and pretty Fast. The Petrozza Solo is very melodic and serve the song as well. The After solo part is good and I love when the song get back to the intro riff and Mille Shout ''COMA OF SOULS''

People Of The Lie is the other classic song on this record. The INtro is perfect and the main riff is really pumping. You wiill automaticly headbang by listening to this Sons. I love The chorus line ''Got A Master PLan, Genocide, Can't Understand, People Of The Lie. The Solo is nice again and serve the song again. The riff after that is kind of a slayer riff. The song finishes with a progression on the chorus.

World Beyond is the next one. This song is pretty short but really fast. A classic thrash song. The riffing is awesome and tight. This song a the classic format. Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, chorus.

Terrorzone is one other amazing song. The Intro is slow and melodic. Then The drums is alone. The guitars comes in with this kind of Metallica's Disposable Heroes Intro and Call Of Ktulu outro. The verse riff is awesome again. The song gets faster by the end. Then a fast insane solo war is played by Petrozza and Gosdzik. Classic Metal song.

Agents of Brutally Follows. This song Start really slow with a intense scream by Mille. After the Intro the song gets faster. Another classical thrash piece. The Riff before The Verse is insane. Really Fast song in overall.

Material World Paranoia is a classic Kreator song again. The intro drum fills are nice. The Wah solo is nice in the intro. The Verse and the Chorus are not different from the others.

Twisted Urge has one of the best intro I've heard. Really weird. Pretty fast song again. The triplet riff in the middle of the song is awesome. The solo is pretty chaotic.

Hidden Dictator start with the bass and the drums. The intro is nice again. I love the way the start song. It reminds me of Sepultura escape to the void. The verse is amazing. I love this riff. Another good piece but not the best.

Mental Slavery close the album in a nice way. The riffing is perfect again. It does not get faster in the verse like the other song. The Tempo stays the same. This is another headbanging song. The solo is awesome and probably of the best of the record. The outro is awesome to close an album.

Pros:
-Mille Petrozza's rythm work
-The amazing solo work by the Two
-Ventor is a solid drummer
-The Lyrical themes are nice
-It makes different from slayer or megadeth

Cons:
-Repetitive Structure
-Where's the bass???

If you're a huge thrash fan check this out. Kreator is the european version of slayer. Mille Petrozza is a solid metal god.

Lineup:
J"rgen "Ventor" Reil - drums/vocals
Miland "Mille" Petrozza - guitar/vocals
Roberto "Rob" Fioretti - bass
Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik - guitar

This is my favourite of the Kreator albums I've heard, but I think it's rated a little too highly in this review. Each to his own though, as I'm not really the biggest Thrash fan.

I have heard some of their early stuff and I'm about to review some Kreator-stuff soon. I haven't heard this album but the review was quite good.

I'm sure you mean "overrated". Yeah agreed, Slayer rule but Kreator definitely have more talent.
