Review Summary: Without the accompaniment of "Charlie Scene" this EP might as well be a 1.
I KNOW THIS REVIEW IS HORRIBLE. IT'S OLD. OKAY?
Hollywood Undead has easily created some of the worst music of the 2000s. They describe themselves as a group of gangster rappers. It is fair to say that Hollywood Undead are the biggest posers I've ever seen. They come across as some of the most untalented, annoying biggots ever. However the group shifts to a different style with these four tracks. Something more meaningful, the B-sides EP still isn't mind blowing by any means. Due to tracks that seem very repetitive in depressing topics such as fake friends, and domestic abuse. Most of it comes across as whiny and uninspired. However there are some things that are executed well. "Pain" while not an outstanding song, is the best of the EP and one of the best of the band. The first verse from J3T (Johnny 3 Tears) is expressed in an increasingly annoying tone as he over dramatically belts out "I watch the world die through crimson eyes". Charlie scene however executes his verse flawlessly discussing a heavy topic while not going over the top, keeping a very strong tone throughout. The chorus is very catchy but is very weak only being three lines long. Despite that, songwriting as been improved as well. Every song the EP is weak in some way, usually with Charlie sparking a sense of artistry in each song.
