Are there ANY bands out there very similiar to Ghostland Observatory?
It's ridiculously hard to find anything resembling their style/sound.

Hey, I've recently been interested in getting into classical music and I'm looking for some composer recommendations. Not looking for composers everyone's heard of like Beethoven and Vivaldi (although those may be the only two I've heard of >_>).

So far, I really like the Berlioz that I've heard. Nuanced and subtle but still epic and awesome. The Tchaikovsky I've heard has been a bit too...mechanical(?)...for my tastes. Hopefully that's enough information to give me some basic recommendations, but I know it's not much to go on >_>

Thanks

Absolute jazz noob loves A Love Supreme, Kind of Blue, Black Saint & The Sinner Lady, and Monk's Dream. What should I get next?

Ah yes I had grabbed that as well, thanks.

I will check out Duke Ellington. That stuff's a bit older though, no?

I've been groovin with this new electro-pop song by Rico Blanco. The track has a really nice 80's vibe to it. http://www.frequency.com/video/rico-blanco/166193
