Indeed.

It would be awesome if it was longer, so many other songs I wanted to hear. The Grudge, Aenima, The Pot, Prison Sex, Sober, Intolerance, Eulogy, The Patient, and the list goes on and on. Ticks and Leeches would be the sex though. Stupid Maynard and his stupid voice.'

Also, forgot to mention, I wanted a shirt, but I wasn't about to shell out $40 for one. Though I did get a decent poster for $10. Still, after paying $80 dollars to see them, I think the shirts should be just a little bit cheaper.

Doesn't seem to me like the setlist is really shrinking. 10 songs is what they've been playing throughout most of the tour...a few lucky shows got 11 songs before they completely cut off Ænima. I still wish I could have experienced Pushit at one of the shows I went to. We got Right in Two both nights...it was an excellent song live though.

Anyway, not sure if Adam's interview in Guitar World has been posted on here yet. I found some scans on another page and thought I'd them up...has some interesting things in there. The whole stalker story is kinda funny, actually.

That was a good read. Adam Jones seems like a pretty cool guy. I can't wait to hear that thing he did with Robert Fripp.

I just saw them in Mass last night the set list was:

The setlist was:
Jambi
Stinkfist
46 & 2
Schism
Rosetta Stoned
Push it
Flood
Wings for Marie
10,000 Days
Lateralus
Vicarious

They played 2 full hours. The only thing Maynard said while he was up there was about seeing us again soon. So I imagine that means another tour after the European one coming up.

The show itself was about on par with the two I just saw them at when they were in mass and then conn last tour. Though we got Push it and Flood, which were both amazing.

My only complaint would be that all three times they've played Jambi, it seems not very, i dunno, something is lacking. It seems like not a great live song. And then I also really don't care for Rosetta Stoned. That's the only Tool song I have some negative feelings about. But Push it and Flood def. made up for that.

Wow, Pushit. That's sweet you're really lucky. Did they play something more like the Salival version or the original?

Pushit woulda been awesome.

And I actually liked Jambi quite a bit, but I must admit that Rosetta Stoned was a slight let down. As cool as the monologue verses are on record, Maynard did a really crappy job live.

Pushit would have been great to witness live. I saw the band twice in a row and thought I'd get to hear it at least one of the shows..no luck. Oh well.

I agree. I too liked Jambi...though I still think it's an odd choice for opener. Worked well though, i guess. But yeah, Rosetta was a bit of a let down...it didn't cause as much excitement as I imagined it would, heh. However, the whole "overwhelmed as one would be..." part was excellent...kinda made up for the rest of the song. Might have just been me though..that's my favorite part of the song.

Anyway, Rosetta Stoned is not a good song live. Definitely better on the album. Just like Ticks and Leeches, I suppose.

Hey, I used to post in the other Tool thread for a long time. I haven't really been closely following these forums much anymore, though I think I'm going to come back into being a regular user again pretty soon. I remember being a part of all the hype of 10,000 Days and all that. However, I was never really around for when the album actually came out. How was it received among the regulars of the Tool thread?

Mostly we've become disillusioned and cynical towards the band, but it was either seen as a great upset or "just another good Tool album" by most fans.

I enjoy it. It feels to me that it needs one or two more lengthy songs, though. "Right in Two" doesn't do much for me, and "Jambi" could have been better. I enjoy Wings For Marie/10,000 Days a lot, though.

Tool fans are too close minded and not musically adventurous enough for Melt Banana.

Trust me, I've heard it and really did try to like it but just couldn't. I really think Tool has Melt Banana as as joke for their opener. Either way, Melt Banana is gettin some publicity.

I guarantee you it's not a joke; if anything it's just a joke at the expense of idiot Tool fans.

Tool always make the mistake of touring with bands they enjoy rather than bands their idiotic fans would.

Expanding their fan's perception sure did backfire, maybe they should quit trying to help society not suck or something.

I really enjoyed Melt Banana when I saw them with Tool about a month ago. They were a little bit of an acquired taste but I liked them by the end or their set.

yeah in a way. maybe tool should just not try and change the world, not mope about how them trying to change the world failed, and just get really angry. Maybe they should write some music with a bit more of balls to it. an album with the mood of "bottom", is what im thinking.
