Meshuggah; not that much bass but groovy and heavy as fvck, particularly anything off Nothing, plus insanely complex drumming.

Emit: sort of the groove of Pantera but a bit heavier. The vocals are great, and it's a great listen.

Agreed. Pretty much a better version of Pantera. Some of the licks and grooves are amazing, they really get you mooving.

on the same note, Enbilulugugal is really catchy and fun to listen while you're driving.

In my opinion Enbilulugugal doesn't have the intense vocals of Phil from Pantera. Very catchy music though.

They don't have a jazz aesthetic, they're not groovy, and they're not good.

1. groove is for kiddies
2. jazz is for coffeehouse-visiting faggots of the highest magnitude
3. therefore something that doesn't have groove or jazz and is metal is probably at least decent.
4. Athiest's first album also happens to be a classic
5. Therefore, you are a kiddie and a coffehouse-visiting faggot of the highest magnitude

lolololol

Groove is for kiddies. Wow.

Just wow.

I listen to jazz that would probably scare you if you heard it. Hardly coffee house music.

I had to cover my mouth when I read that to avoid exploding into maniacal laughter and startling everyone in the house.

Talking to someone who takes black metal seriously is like talking to a brick wall, except the black metal guys have fewer brain cells.

I don't need to justify myself to you but my IQ is in the 99th percentile. Furthermore the guy in your avatar has a ****ing afro, which automatically invalidates everything you say.

That's not even close to an afro, and if you had any knowledge of higher culture you'd know that!
