I've never heard Joyless, I'll keep the name in mind.

I don't know, those bands' melodies are really half assed and unemotional to me. But now we're just onto personal opinion so I can't be an *** about any of it.

A lot of it also has to do with lyrics and such, a few of those bands have songs that mean a lot to me or remind me of people/events. For me, it's mainly Staind, Breaking Benjamin, and Seether.

EDIT: Clutch is boring.

Haha, the bands you listed BRA are full of whiny teen angst, nothing emotional about that. Joyless could be considered quite emotional I guess.

I find it embarrasing that Canada's rock scene is head-lined by Nickelback. The State was a great album but then they saw how popular "How You Remind Me" was and decided to write pretty much the same song over and over with different lyrics.

Plus the dudes look like fags.

You admit to wearing fishnet and make up. You have absolutely no right to say anybody looks like a fag. Especially normal looking people.

A bunch of fugly looking retards.

///it was kind of a joke. They don't actually looks like fags. Although there was an album they had photos in where they all look like a bunch of truckers who hadn't showered for a week...lol I'd have to look it up...

Anyway, I just don't like the music.

It just adds to the boredom of thier music.

Anthony: There's nothing wrong with wearing fishnets and makeup...it's been done in multiple genres of music since before either of us were born. Let it go already.

Means it's not as unacceptable as you want it to be.

You may think it's gay, but there are multitudes of bands, kids, adults, fans, and everything else of all different types that don't see a problem with it. I'm really not going to take the opinion of a couple kids on MX that it's gay as complete fact and completely reverse my wardrobe and appearance.

I'm not a fan of "feel good" energy bands. With modern rock, I'm more of a fan of emotional bands with good, smooth melodies and a catchy feel.

And I would take on Clutch any day. Beer bellies don't count as muscle mass

Maroon 5 is actually really good. The singer is awesome.

I think Muse is probably the best modern rock band around right now though. Foo Fighters are great too.

The singer is a good vocalist, I just don't get into the music. There was one song (a really popular one) that the chorus is rather catchy, but that's about it.

Clutch is awesome!

Still, I don't really see them as mainstream rock because when I hear mainstream I think of bands that are on heavy rotation on the rock stations. I've yet to hear Clutch on the radio which sucks.

Bands like Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Disturbed, and Seether are good for the occasional listen. However, Muse and Queens of the Stone Age rock hard. Both are great bands.
