That's even more brilliant. I've never heard the phrase, though, so I feel like I'm missing out.

Well, it's official. In January, I'll be doing the Tough Mudder race. It's a 12-mile run designed by the British Special Forces where they put obstacles every half mile. I will most assuredly be both electrocuted and tossed into a pool of ice water.

They had something by the name here. Is it a fundraiser for something?

Yeah wallabies are cute, they're tiny. Full size roos well, if they're domesticated are pretty chill but a wild one can just straight up kick your face off.

I got an EBow. Next step is getting good at using it. Thankfully it's pretty easy to pick up and just use, but it seems like it'll take some practice to get good with it.

It's definitely a charity event, but I'm not entirely sure who the money goes to. I think it's for the veterans. Either way, I'd best start training a little harder than going to the gym only twice a week.

On a bass-related note, I'm having some electronics trouble with my Spector. I'm not sure where the problem is inside the bass, but I'm tired of fumbling around with the insane amounts of electronics inside of it to troubleshoot. Should I remove the onboard tremolo effect and put it into a pedal housing?

Yeah man fuck onboard tremolo if it's causing hassles.

My fretless came with the E string action set a bit too low, had too much buzz for my liking from like 3rd fret back to the nut so I just raised the action a bit and now she's smooth enough.

Oooh, I'll have to try that.

I can't wait until I'm really good with it because I'm already getting some sweet sounds from it. Arpeggios also sound totally badass with it.

i think it's an magnetic field that vibrates the string, or stimulates the pickup or something

this is a guess

I used my eBow to the point where I probably need to replace it. It's about 7 years old at this point.

So it's like a laser pointer that you aim at the string(s) you want to play, and use your left hand as normal?

I'm going to retune my bass in 5ths. I love it so much on my tenor guitar. It just makes sense to me. So instead of being B-C, I'm going to tune A-G#. Increased range ftw.

Going to be an interesting set of strings when they get here.

A = .158
E = .102
B = .070
F# = .041
C# = .022 (unwound)
G# = .015 (unwound)

Looks like someone finally took my advice about Circle K strings. Let me know what you think of them.
