I have the MXR Custom Comp. I bounced between that and the Electro-Harmonix White Finger for a couple of months. IF you are a person who, "sets it and forgets it", than the MXR will do you fine I'd say. If you are a person who likes to fiddle on the fly (and don't mind your pedal not having a 9V source) then the EHX would be more your thing. I kind of regret not getting the EHX, but I do love my custom comp. Despite the fact the equivalent of some of the nobs (can't remember which ones off the top of my head) that are just on the front of the White Finger are inside the Custom Comp. Hence why I say it is for people who are more, "set it and forget it".
