Little kids are disobedient only becuase they only care about what htey want, not what you want them to do or don't want them to do. They're going to do it regardless of whether you have spanked them in the past or not. Let's say they disobeyed at one point and got some priveleges taken away. They can learn the same lessons without connecting violence with power, that might=right mantra that gets so many kids in trouble
