Not completely out there, but the "Take-off" feature on the Ibanez Airplane Flanger is rather strange.

what kind of compressors do you guys use? i've heard great shit about the keeley comp, the ross comp, and the rothwell love squeeze. also interested by the T REX SQUEEZER and the barber tone press...
|
Best comp I've ever used is a Distressor but they can be quite pricey.

I see your tube screamer and I raise you one of these: |
lol definitely would not give that much pedalboard space to a tube screamer...

right on. i'm looking for something i could use in my effects chain though. i don't need compression bad enough to spend 1000 dollars on it... hah |

I have the MXR Custom Comp. I bounced between that and the Electro-Harmonix White Finger for a couple of months. IF you are a person who, "sets it and forgets it", than the MXR will do you fine I'd say. If you are a person who likes to fiddle on the fly (and don't mind your pedal not having a 9V source) then the EHX would be more your thing. I kind of regret not getting the EHX, but I do love my custom comp. Despite the fact the equivalent of some of the nobs (can't remember which ones off the top of my head) that are just on the front of the White Finger are inside the Custom Comp. Hence why I say it is for people who are more, "set it and forget it". |

i havnt seen that giant tubescreamer in yonks always liked it
i use a keeley ts9 baked mod, its the bees knees, slightly noisy but its an awesome pedal eventide pitch factor has been on my wishlist forever would also like to upgrade my boss ps-5 to the boss ps-6 and try a shitload of vintage botique overdrives as for compressor pedals i dont see the point in spending a lot in such a transparent effect 90% of people won't even notice mxr and keeley are ones i can think of off the top of my head i use a marshall ed-1 cheap chirpy and does a good job, it even broke and i replaced it with the same model |
compressors do what they do. i need that and a vibe pedal. everything else wouldn't be useful to me at the moment
