It's right off Sherbrooke.
Avenue Mcgill-College leads right up to it.

I think your hotel is on Peel, so you would just walk 3 blocks east.
If that is where your hotel is, of course.

Perfect. If I get lost, I'll give you a ring, then.

Do so.

I wish I had more money, so I could take you to some bars.

BenJammin 04-27-2009 06:07 PM

Eh, we'll wing it, man.

I'm heading out for a bite to eat, though. If I don't talk to you tomorrow, I'll see you on Wednesday. :O

Does anyone have a technique for getting a lime into a Corona without squirting juice all over themselves?

Efrim 04-27-2009 08:53 PM

cutting the lime a bit thinner?

I have never had a problem with that.

do you have a preamp with phantom power

Spaceman Spiff 04-27-2009 10:36 PM

Meh. I was just asking one person who's shown interest in the music if they'd be interested in hearing a demo of a new song. I'm not bothered if he doesn't.

Again, from someone who can't help but talk shit, Raayl, you used to send me your works in progress all the time. Let me guess, you've grown up? Whatever. I, for one, love hearing bands I like playing new songs, even if they're unfinished or end up differently on record.

I really don't understand why you guys make such a big deal out of everything.

And if I thought Joe was that much of a piece of shit to steal it, I wouldn't ask him if he wanted to listen to it.

You're a joke.

"Raayl is my dark side."
I wish I remembered what that whole comment said. It was ridiculous.

4.5 hours.

I'm going to have to download the .mp3 of the show later. My computer no likey flash.

Btw, who plays piano? I rather liked it, but I think it needs more dynamic variance in the final version.

Both of the other guys can play keyboard/piano. Not extremely well, but they're not bad at it.

I've also been working on it, but I'm not very good at the moment.

There will be a lot more to the final version, this is very bare bones. Vocals will fill up a lot of the empty space in the first part. There will be other instruments, etc. It'll also be mixed, obviously the demo isn't. My lead part will be better and more pleasantly melodic as opposed to just throwing down as many ideas as possible. My rhythm part will be more... good.

Thanks for checking it out.

FunkMetalBass 04-28-2009 07:37 AM

Np, dawg. It has a lot of potential, for sure. Is that girl going to sing on it? I think she should, almost give it a Portishead sort of feel.

I'd send you a demo copy of the piece my band is working on, but I'm afraid it's still on my home computer. Plus, my guitar-playing ability and tone is horrible.

Yeah, she will be recording the album. She'll also be doing the radio show with us today.

We've still been trying to get her ready to do a full show, but I don't think she is. Recording will probably help her push passed her nervousness and teach her to really let loose with her voice. I mean, it will be completely necessary for her to use her voice in a big way on this album.

Email me that song when you get home. I'd like to give it a listen.

FunkMetalBass 04-28-2009 07:55 AM

Right. Plus, recording will help her with her vocal control and mic positioning. I did about 30 takes of the verse/pre-chorus vocals before I found one I liked ok. I could have spliced some together...but where's the fun in that?

Spaceman Spiff 04-28-2009 07:56 AM

Are you playing guitar, bass, and singing on this song?
