Modern Rock
It just occurred to me that there is no thread for just straight, dare I say "mainstream" rock. Yes, we all love metal, hardcore, etc., but I know I'm not the only one who still listens to just straight rock bands....
****, I still listen to: Nickelback Seether Cold Staind Breaking Benjamin Tantric Days of the New Matchbox Twenty Etc. Feel free to discuss and add to the list. And no negativity ITT please. :smash: |
Oh god.
/refrains from complete negativity Seether has some pretty cool songs, The Remedy mostly. Breaking Benjamin have their moments, but their stupid major-key choruses basically ruin any decency they would otherwise have. So Cold is allright though. Tool is good. |
lol

yes, lol
|
Actually I listen to alot of straightfoward modern rock bands, but none of the **** you listed.
|
Seether has it's moments.
Godsmack sucks harder and harder every album they release, except for the acoustic album they made, that was kinda cool. And uh... hmm... I like Maroon 5. |

Out with it, then. I can have fun with a lot of these lousy radio rock bands. It's easy enough to listen to, and I don't despise it. But it's not great music by any means. |
The Glasspack
Jimbo Jones Ninja Academy Tight Bros From Way Back When These are the kind of names that should be mentioned when talking about good modern rock. And hell, I'd even take 30 Seconds To Mars or Bayside over anything in the first post. Except Seether, they are pretty good. |
I haven't heard any of those.
|
I still love me some old Incubus.
|
New Incubus is pretty good too.
|
Its not horrible but they are a different band now without Dirk.
|
I don't like the newest album, but I do really like everything before and including A Crow Left of the Murder.

this. I wish they would go back to their jazz-funk-rock phase again. I also like : Sparta Foo Fighters A Perfect Circle |
Foo Fighters are awesome.
|
Sparta is really awesome.
|
At the drive in is better.
|
Yeah, but Sparta is still really awesome.
|
I listen to a lot of Incubus. Muse is one of my top 5 favorite bands. Nine Inch Nails is a favorite as well. System of a Down, Coheed, Coldplay, Keane, Maroon 5, and Chevelle are some others that I listen to fairly frequently.

Crow is my favorite incubus album. System of a Down used to be a favorite of mine as well, I was a major sucker for their Armenian folk influence or whatever.
|
Scott Stapp!
