Top 100 Rock/Metal Vocalists NOMINATIONS thread

HURRRRR READ THESE RULES OR DIE

Okay, after a bit of time off from polls and stuff, we have a new competition up in R&M. This is a pretty popular category and it's sure to cause a lot of controversy and heartbreak, but I'm going to do it anyway because everyone loves clicking on polls.

Singers... frontmen... screamers, growlers, etc. all have been used to describe the guy or girl in a rock or metal band who uses the greatest and most versatile instrument of all: the human voice. This thread should be full of nominations and I'll try to count them up as best as I can. There aren't too many rules against certain people, but here are some:

1. Rappers are okay IF the music going on behind them is rock/metal and the musicians playing it are credited as band members instead of just the rapper. This leaves room for only one real standout (*coughRATMcough*) but if you can think of others then that's fine too. Beastie Boys don't count because they rarely played any instruments, not like the full-time "band" unit that De La Rocha, Morello, Wilk and Commerford enjoyed.

2. Rock and Metal vocalists only.

3. You can nominate as many as you want, but you have to have AT LEAST FIFTEEN nominated to count all of them. I came up with 100 nominations to give you ideas, and http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com has a neat list too. You can't just copy theirs because that's plagiarism and there's no way you actually believe their list and aren't just being lazy.

4. Don't whine about my list, it's not in order and it's just a list of nominees. If you don't like it then make your own. I'm aware that Ozzy isn't on there, and I'm fine with that.

5. This is to judge a person's vocal talents and not their stage presence (see Ozzy comment). Not everyone can see every vocalist listed in a live setting, so it would be unfair to expect you to judge them based on it. But if you saw a good vocalist live, then chances are he's good all-around and you shouldn't have any shame listing him. You can even list Ozzy if you want but I just happen to disagree with you on that.

6. I should have clarified this earlier, but no backup singers. Just the lead vocalist in a band, unless for some reason they have two (not like SOAD but maybe some supergroups from the 70s did this).

7. Don't be a faggot. You know who you are.

Okay next post is my nominees. Have fun!

Ian, I think it'd be a good idea if you size 7 bolded something like this: Please keep all nominations in one post, and if you're going to correct someone who is doing something wrong, please do so, but once they fix it, please delete your post, as it will make counting the votes a lot easier. (And the thread will nicer as well. :))
