Who's the best alternative rock band of the year, 2010?

Year 2010? I am not updated but for me the best alternative rock band is Incubus.

Menomena's new album was pretty awesome. Alternative might be the vaguest description of a genre ever, though.

Perhaps we can pare it down to something incredibly specific? How about Post-Pretentious? Is that just Tentious?

I haven't listened to anything they've done aside from the split they did with Trophy Scar. Seemd pretty alright, but I haven't taken a chance to hear their other works.

I dont think so, i was almost thinking kings of leon might be best of 2010 too. the article spin did on them was really good. did you read it?

Since I consider the National and Arcade fire both to be Alternative Indie Bands. I would have to go with the Gaslight Anthem on terms based off of the alternative rock records released in 2010. Overall throughout probably someone else. Jimmy Eat World maybe or Third Eye Blind :smash:

I'd agree with Gaslight Anthem. Why doesn't sputnik consider them alternative? I certainly wouldn't label them punk.
