ITRIEDVOODOOONCE 11-11-2005 05:44 AM

I'm in Finley which is right in the center of it. It's about 3 hours up from you Melbournites.

RunAmokRampant 11-11-2005 05:24 PM

ah, I know where Finley is. I'm going up to Echuca/Moama is weekend for some paintballing. Anyone else been paintballing? It's fun as hell

Solar 11-11-2005 05:42 PM

Yeah, skirmish up in Brisbane is the best- the paint balls give you bruises like nothing else.

Dancin' Man 11-11-2005 10:18 PM

Voodoo - my band has a grind filler - the Grind joke. We tell an offensive joke and ba-dum-chhhh into 15 seconds of improv grind.

We played a show tonight. The kiddies went wild. Then some dude with an As I Lay Dying shirt talked to me about guitar playing. I wanted to tell him it's a good thing he doesn't play because he'd probably play crap, like As I Lay Dying.

ATC 11-11-2005 10:25 PM

I played an impromptu song at a friend's magazine release party yesterday. I randomly jammed on stage and Dierdre did this almost cabaret rendition of her poem that was published in the magazine. We ended with a kazoo solo. Then my string broke right on cue. My first finger bled cos steel acoustics arent meant to be played that hard if your pick flies off into the crowd. Noel, who played that guitar (twas hers to begin with) thought it was exciting to play a blood splattered guitar. Heh.

Dancin' Man 11-12-2005 12:31 AM

there is blood on my white pants from the show I played tonight. I don't know who it belongs to though because I never bled.

TojesDolan 11-12-2005 03:12 AM

So... my mom bought a camera omgomgomg.

I can finally whore my art here at MX. :)

By the way, I'm not participating this one (for lawl inducing reasons), but I'll be sure voting. For hilarity's sakes.

You're probably gonna get bird flu dude.

On an entirely separate note...Nath, that is THE coolest avatar I have ever seen in my life. My envy consumes me...

Solar 11-12-2005 08:23 PM

Thanks, I stole it from the internet.

Disco Dragon 11-12-2005 10:30 PM

Nah, I would never wear a shirt like that.

ITRIEDVOODOOONCE 11-14-2005 02:28 PM

Yeah, my old band Trip The Light Fantastic named all of our songs after random qoutes from the childrens book "Little Critter", we had such hits as,

I didnt go to school i just stayed home and rode my bike all day
and
They love my little brother more than me

Littlejohn 11-14-2005 09:26 PM

I should consider writing better things for challenges...

Disco Dragon 11-14-2005 09:52 PM

...I've considered that many times...many, many times...

Solar 11-14-2005 10:39 PM
I should consider writing better things for challenges...
Yeah, but it's so hard.

xKONRADx 11-15-2005 04:27 PM
The really hard thing is actually writing the piece. There is not enough time in the day. That is until you start writing creatively for class again. Next semester should be nice.
no ****. next semester i should be in class, counting the time between classes, almost 37 hours a week. plus extracurriculars and work.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-15-2005 05:08 PM

How many credits are you taking Matt? I'm doing 15 and it is about 19 hours of class time a week for me.

Disco Dragon 11-15-2005 05:23 PM

Ha! 15? That's nuthin fool. I've got 18 regular credit hours plus two online courses. That sh*t is tiring!

TojesDolan 11-15-2005 06:04 PM

So is it me or is discussion rather slow in the replies thread? lol crazy.

I wasn't playing the "who has the most classes and brags about it over the internet game". But I guess you win.

No, actually I lose. Cuz that means I have much less free time, which makes me a big loser. I would highly advise no one with any sanity to take that many credit hours. I thought it would be a piece of cake, turns out I was way wrong.

Oh, and has anyone heard anything from a band called The Spill Canvas? I've only heard one song and I'm not sure if I should bother picking up their CD or not. Any thoughts?

I was just making a joke on that last comment.

As for The Spill Canvas, the new cd is okay, same with All Hail The Heartbreaker. The Tide, if it's the song you heard, is the standout of all their generic songwriting. If you want the new cd, IM me and I'll send it to you.

Okay here's a question I heard some comedian asked during a show. I can't remember his name but his dead now.

"My belt holds up my pants, but the loopholes on my pants hold up my belt, so who is the real hero?"

Answerable?

Solar 11-16-2005 07:37 PM

You can tie a belt tight enough so you don't need loopholes, therefore the belt is the winner.

Littlejohn 11-16-2005 07:43 PM

You can buy tight enough pants so that a belt is not required. It is obviously a trick question. Friction is the hero.

Oh man I remember seeing that guy on TV. He was so stoned at the time though.

Littlejohn 11-16-2005 08:56 PM

Mitch Hedburg perhaps? Sounds like his doing...

Yeah and it doesn't take a genius to figure out how he most probably died
