Good band. J is the only other person I know who listens to them on here.

Is that an abbreviation for an even longer more confusing name? I'm willing to bet almost no one has heard of them, so mp3s or this thread sucks.

We were so lucky to get them in Memphis. Havoc Distro was there and everything.

If they're not well known/famous in America, they're not well known/famous.

I seriously doubt that. If they're famour and legendary they would be touring and drawing huge crowds at shows all around here.

When they played in Austin there was like 20 people there. Austin draws huge for that kind of music, obviously they're not [I]that[/I] famous.

There was people who came up from Austin I think. There this one crusty who had a missing tooth and a spur on his boot. I think he's from Austin.

Look man, I've always thought you were pretty cool, but it always pisses me off when someone discovers some new kind of music, and then act like they're all hot shit like they've always been into and like everyone else is lesser than them for listening to the "bad music" instead of the "good music". You can't just claim some band is famous and legendary when they're barely even known in America (yes that makes me sound like a ***** but face it. If you're good/famous etc you would be known in america).

Actually they are pretty big within their scene. It's just not the type of hardcore you listen to.

Their scene is also in Finland. I still have yet to hear this band.

I mean like people who are big on crusty hardcore/punk.

Awesome band, they put on such an amazing live show. Although I agree with Reiner on this one, they aren't all that well known in the Us, maybe amongst the crust crowd, but not the hardcore people. Still an amazing band, it's a shame more people don't listen to 'em.

Oh, and Pat, there were way more than 20 people at the show in ATX. Mostly due to the fact that it was Pok-E-Joe's which was a brand new venue at the time for ATX (the Riistetyt show was the first one they ever had there), so it figures people wouldn't know how to get there all that easily. Either way, it was an awesome show and I met up with some dudes that I hadn't seen in a while.

I say more people should start listening to Scandinavian hardcore/punk.

I love Riistetyt. Has anyone heard their cover of Varukers - [i]Protest and Survive[/i].

Chris Lea told me there was hardly any people there.

As compared to the usual crust show in ATX, yea, hardly any people showed up, but for being under those circumstances (new venue, and whatnot) it's reasonable that there weren't many, although still more than 20, people.

Oh, and they've been around since about 1980. Just under a different name for like 2 years, then they switched it to Riistetyt.
