I made a train mix for the train a few weeks ago. My portable CD player can play mp3 CDs so there is about 200 songs on it. Just a mix of stuff I wanted to hear at the time... Definitely Maybe, Illinois, Set Yourself on Fire, and a whole bunch of other random albums and songs I can't think of.

Glitterati 10-08-2005 06:42 PM

I tried to make a CD about two months ago with a bunch of Mitch Hedberg on it (for my sister) but sadly it did not work.

Glitterati 10-08-2005 06:48 PM
Joe Strummer
If it was "Coma Girl", how romantic.
It was Get Down Moses, in fact.
Best song on Streetcore.

YDload 10-08-2005 07:03 PM
I like everything on it that I've heard, which is all bar 4.
Nope, doesn't count. You have to hear all of them and like them in order to lie about saying you liked them

ThePatient 10-08-2005 07:20 PM

Its something like...:

50 Cent
Ludacris
Black Eyed Peas
Kanye West
Jay-Z
Every Time I Die
Norma Jean
Dillinger Escape Plan

Its my driving mix.

Scott Herren 10-08-2005 08:11 PM

Too bad you had the Zombies on that list or I could say I dislike them all.

^^^ If the RIAA or whatever knew that, they'd buy you a child just so they could run it over with a school bus full of orphans.

Sam 10-08-2005 09:47 PM

I own the RIAA, they ain't got nuthin on me.

asymm 10-09-2005 11:25 AM

The RIAA has a camera planted in the soap dish in your bathroom. They watch you when you're naked.

No that song sucks. They changed the bassline so the guitars are playing it instead, which really irks me as a bassist. And other than that, it's just too produced. Original long acronym song > smaller acronym song.

biografiend 10-09-2005 04:41 PM

RollerQueen 10-11-2005 07:13 PM

Good favourite. :)

br3ad_man 10-12-2005 02:37 AM

I'm making a mix to get my friend into some indie stuff. See my thread on it if you'd like to help. I will post the finished product in here.

Happymeal 10-12-2005 06:45 PM

^Now that's a lineup.

Robert Crumb 10-13-2005 11:45 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: I dunno if anyone else does this but the most full-proof way to make a great mix is to use tracks as they would come sequentially on their respective albums.

Ex:

1. Richard Hell and the Voidoids - Love Comes in Spurts
2. Pavement - Trigger Cut/Wounded Cut At :17
3. Harry Nilsson - Early In the Morning
4. Sam Cooke - Mean Old World
etc...

Alter formula as necessary. Guaranteed results.

You mean so that each track is on the same number as it is on the original album? Dude, I TOTALLY know what you mean! I tried putting a list like that together in that last "Top 10" thread in A/I, so look for that or something :)

Yep, that's it. Is that the top 10 favorite songs of the moment or whatever thread?

Next six songs to the four I put up, the shift from punk stuffs to hip hop is almost seamless thanks to the innate funkiness of "#1 Hit Song". Don't believe me? Try out the songs for yerself...

5. Patti Smith - Kimberly
6. Minutemen - #1 Hit Song
7. Eric B. and Rakim - As the Rhyme Goes On
8. Quasimoto - Closer
9. Jeru the Damaja - Ain't the Devil Happy
10. Prefuse 73 - Gratis (Pedro vs. Prefuse)

Permanent Solution 10-14-2005 12:34 AM
