I can re-write my LBC and/or Riddlin' Kids articles so that they meet FA requirements. I just wrote blurbs for each.

EDIT: or, you guys could give me a challenge and assign me one. If I have no clue who the hell you assigned me, I'll let you know.

I might do Fenix TX, that gives me a while to listen to some more of them because I haven't heard much but I like.

I like what I've heard by them too, I'd be interested if you got one together, you'd tenatively be posting it in December, so you have awhile.

I'd personally love to see a Fenix*TX FA, one of the best bands Drive-Thru ever had

I know, this is great. This is what R&M has that we didn't have, and I'm thrilled it's happening now. I think R&M's is over a year, but this is such a small forum I'm thrilled to see such a long queue. :D

Of course, and I will include about Firescape as well (SoCo guitarist Josh Partington's band). I think this will be really fun, because I love doing the FAs where I have to research as well to produce it. Gives it more value to me, I guess

I'll leave it up to you guys, but down the line that will be much harder because that means 52 bands per year. Seeing as we had trouble getting 100 bands for the contest, I'd say that's a little extraneous...

Plus the effort everyone puts into it deserves more than a week's recognition I think.

I agree, at least 2 weeks is a good time space for FAs to be up. Besides, they will always be in the archive for others to read after they are down.

This is how it was done in the first place, and worked smoothly until Joel unstickied it and the thread kind of disappeared. Everyone's FA was up for a fair amount of time, and newcomers could see which ones were already done/being done by someone else.

The current system is pretty much random, and that means that there is no set time for when an FA will be kept up. Sometimes there can be a month's gap between one and the next, and then there's a week's gap before 3 more people say "Oh, I want to make one too!".

I guess, people seemed more pressured (not sure it that's the right word) to do one, if you get me ?

Looking back some of the old FA's were really poor tbh.

I don't understand how people can be pressured into doing something they volunteered to do in the first place. If people say they are going to do the FA, and end up slacking on it and not getting it in on time, then they shouldn't have said they would do it in the first place.

Not to mention the risk two people do one on the same artist. No one had to announce they were doing one, much less on which band. I think this is getting more participation because people can plan to do theirs a few months ahead of time. The other way you had until the next one was up, which could be a month, or a few days. This is much better I think.

As I was telling you on MSN, I don't think anything I write should take precedence over the regulars here. I don't feel all that comfortable being on a "first come, first serve" basis when I'm writing in a forum I don't actively post in.

I mean, it's your call, but I don't think I should appear [i]this[/i] early.
