New pics of everything set up.

I know people were asking for new pics, I wanted to wait for better quality shots but I took my P.C upstairs and took them with my webcam. There not great shots but it's the best I can do with what I have.

Lotta pics! But people always ask for as many angles as possible, you can see the big 18" that I refinished and use as a 3rd floor tom, on the left side you can see the tymp tom I refinshed as well as the old timbale over there, everythings in black now except for my main snares which I leave original :)

did you recently squeeze in that 4th rack tom? or did i just not notice that before?

>>> good digital cameras have gotten pretty cheap. you should be able to pick up a very nice one for roughly $150.

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 04:40 PM

Na i've always had that.

Don't worry i'll use my uncles cam for better shots.

TheClash6412 07-11-2005 04:41 PM

rockindrummer 07-11-2005 05:01 PM

Der got die banned 07-11-2005 05:38 PM

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 05:46 PM

Der got die banned 07-11-2005 05:47 PM

bobby__johnny 07-11-2005 05:57 PM

heh....get the ZZ top feel right? Fuzzy guitar, bass,....and bass drum beaters.

skadrummer411 07-11-2005 06:06 PM

Jim you're crazy. That stuff is awesome. I'm loving the coated bass batters. You got a LOT of nice stuff goin' on.

Dave*Grohl 07-11-2005 06:07 PM

awesome set jimbo! What drums are those! IMO i could never cope with so many drums, i couldnt think of things to do with so many! :D

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 06:08 PM
I'm loving the coated bass batters
Thanks, yea I like em better then the typical ebony resos you always see. Gives the drums a classic look.

skadrummer411 07-11-2005 06:10 PM
Thanks, yea I like em better then the typical ebony resos you always see. Gives the drums a classic look.
Actually I was talking about the batter side but the reso looks pretty cool that way too.

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 06:13 PM

Ohh those are hazy ambs on the batters.

skadrummer411 07-11-2005 06:16 PM
Ohh those are hazy ambs on the batters.
What kind of sound do you get out of those? Is it warm or more of a bass like thud? I was thinking about getting the coated P3 but if the sound on the hazy ambs is good then I might try those.

full collapse 07-11-2005 06:17 PM

I'm loving it. Your kit never fails to impress me.

LostInMusic464 07-11-2005 06:20 PM

Great stuff Jim. Lookin' as good as ever.

AtomShip 07-11-2005 06:38 PM

Now your next step, refinishing all of them, good luck :D

Plan B. 07-11-2005 06:46 PM

Love the rig.

Now your next step, refinishing all of them, good luck
Sarcasm? There already finished, I re-finshed the other drums in matching black.

When you post your kit i'll make sure and comment on your finish. Whats your problem anyway? Anytime I make a post your always gunnin for me, I think the british have somthin against me

Counted Out 07-11-2005 07:20 PM

Very nice set.

The Fiction We Live 07-11-2005 07:21 PM

I like the black... very classy.

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 07:23 PM
What kind of sound do you get out of those? Is it warm or more of a bass like thud?
Well it's a nice balance, the 1-ply really lets the drum speak out. You get a nice balance of attack and body with the hazy amb. I use small pillows in each drum to increase the attack abit too.

Det_Nosnip 07-11-2005 07:31 PM
Haha well it's not that really im just waiting till these are totaly shot, im savin the good tones for when I need em.
Got something planned any time soon?

TurbulentTurtle 07-11-2005 07:39 PM

That looks totally amazing. I always love seeing huge sets, expecially ones with 2 bass drums... *drool*

That webcam just doesn't do your set justice, actually I don't think any camera would, I'd have to see it to be able to fully appreciate it :P

Double Bass Jim 07-11-2005 07:40 PM

Actually yea, if it goes through im trying to put together a symphonic style recording session with my uncle and a couple of other high end players. He's got the whole micing and mixing issue down so we'd be game if he gets the gear over here and set-up

funkydrummergirl 07-11-2005 07:42 PM

all i can say is **** a duck that is an awsome kit
