OK, ok listen. What is your favorite album. Ever.

I know this might seem like something that is always asked, but it actually isnt.

Basically, what is your favorite album/cd/record EVER made.

Base your answer upon how much you listen to it, how it affects you personally etc.

And pretend that I'm holding a gun to your head and you HAVE to tell me or else I'll blow your brains all over the walls. (aka no "there's just so many that i love" answers)

I'll start:

Oh crap. This is so hard.
Between Kid A and Pinkerton , ill go with Pinkerton.

Team America Soundtrack.

I don't know if this is against the rules here. It is in R&M. Then again, come to think of it, I can't ever remember seeing any rules for A&I. In that case:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik

EvIL_ToASTER_OVEN 07-11-2005 10:57 AM

A New Set Of Lungs - Hot Cross

morrissey 07-11-2005 11:02 AM

The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
Billy Bragg - Back to Basics

I know neither are proper albums, but both are topnotch. If I could only have two albums to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be those two. And I'd throw in Spice to lighten it up. Good times.

Ganondorf 07-11-2005 11:52 AM

Brand New - Deja Entendu, but I haven't listened to it in a while.

We don't need rules.

And my serious favorite album is Surfer Rosa.

Kyle 07-11-2005 12:00 PM

Probably 'Smashing Pumpkins' - 'Siamese Dream'

but 'Appertite for Destruction' - 'Guns and Roses' is not far behind.

Rebel Chimp 07-11-2005 12:04 PM

Nirvana- Nevermind

Ejp414 07-11-2005 12:06 PM

The Coast Is Never Clear by Beulah.

CarnageFairy 07-11-2005 12:33 PM

Probably "Oh, Inverted World" by The Shins.

It's a touch choice between that and something like "London Calling" or "Emergency & I".
There are also a lot of albums I really like, but haven't really had long enough to know if they'll stand the test of time.

Parfait 07-11-2005 12:38 PM

Freak Out! by The Mothers of Invention.

I'm going to go with California by Mr. Bungle. But there are so many good albums out there that is really is impossible to just pick one and be sure about it.

Little Man being Erased 07-11-2005 05:04 PM

Probably Kid A, I guess.

aznrocker 07-11-2005 05:07 PM

Weezer-Green Album

TomDill 07-11-2005 05:07 PM

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Television - Marquee Moon

I can't decide :(

Siamese Dream just has the greatest guitar sound ever, Marquee Moon is just an all around fun album that always cheers me up.

Jacaranda 07-11-2005 05:19 PM

Jane's Addiction, Ritual or Notings Shocking.

mayonaise 07-11-2005 05:22 PM

Zwan-Mary star of the Sea

i know i know, just about everyone hates it, but not me.......i tlove listening to that album, i love how the lyrics are so happy and well written. i love the guitars, the drumming is incredible. i can listen to this album when im happy, sad, angry, lonely, and it always makes me feel better. everyone complains that its not the pumpkins......so what?! i wouldnt want it to be. i wish zwan was still around.

Tangy zizzle 07-11-2005 05:40 PM

Songs for the Deaf

It's funny. Speaking for myself only, I find it impossible to name a favourite band (now) and like top 5/10 albums etc... but I know my one favourite record and it hasn't changed for like 3 years.

Glitterati 07-11-2005 06:15 PM

This is tougher than three-week old taffee.

I guess you really DID put a gun to my head, I'd say The Clash - London Calling.

JonM 07-11-2005 06:53 PM

See, I always think I know, and then later on I always decide I'm wrong. I guess the only way to do this is to name the record about which I've said "This is my favorite album. Ever." the most times. And that would be Kid A by Radiohead.
