OK, ok listen. What is your favorite album. Ever.
I know this might seem like something that is always asked, but it actually isnt.
Basically, what is your favorite album/cd/record EVER made. Base your answer upon how much you listen to it, how it affects you personally etc. And pretend that I'm holding a gun to your head and you HAVE to tell me or else I'll blow your brains all over the walls. (aka no "there's just so many that i love" answers) I'll start: Oh crap. This is so hard. Between Kid A and Pinkerton , ill go with Pinkerton. |
Team America Soundtrack.

I don't know if this is against the rules here. It is in R&M. Then again, come to think of it, I can't ever remember seeing any rules for A&I. In that case:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik |
A New Set Of Lungs - Hot Cross
|
The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
Billy Bragg - Back to Basics I know neither are proper albums, but both are topnotch. If I could only have two albums to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be those two. And I'd throw in Spice to lighten it up. Good times. |
Brand New - Deja Entendu, but I haven't listened to it in a while.

We don't need rules. And my serious favorite album is Surfer Rosa. |
Probably 'Smashing Pumpkins' - 'Siamese Dream'
but 'Appertite for Destruction' - 'Guns and Roses' is not far behind. |
Nirvana- Nevermind
|
The Coast Is Never Clear by Beulah.
|
Probably "Oh, Inverted World" by The Shins.
It's a touch choice between that and something like "London Calling" or "Emergency & I". There are also a lot of albums I really like, but haven't really had long enough to know if they'll stand the test of time. |
Freak Out! by The Mothers of Invention.
|
grace
|
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt.2
|
Nevermind because its teh cd that go tme to listen to music for the first time.... that or Odd how people shake
|
"Definitely maybe" by Oasis, just cos itīs a collection of some anthems I grew up with.
|
London Calling - The Clash
|
Qotsa - Sftd
|
Taking Back Sunday- Tell All Your Friends
|
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Runners-up: Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks Bill Hicks - Arizona Bay |
Crap. This is like frickin impossible.
I forgot about Songs for the Deaf and Surfer Rosa. And Dig Your Own Hole! And Music Has Rights to Children! And Miles Davis! SH!T. I have no clue. |
Kings of Convenience - Riot on an Empty Street
|
chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water
|
Blue Album
|
OK Computer
|
London Calling - The Clash
There you have it. |
Something by Return to Forever, but im having trouble deciding which cd to pick...
|
Tough shit, man.
Elliott Smith - Either/Or |
OK Computer
|
Jeff Buckley - Grace
|
I'm going to go with California by Mr. Bungle. But there are so many good albums out there that is really is impossible to just pick one and be sure about it.
|
Probably Kid A, I guess.
|
Weezer-Green Album
|
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Television - Marquee Moon I can't decide :( Siamese Dream just has the greatest guitar sound ever, Marquee Moon is just an all around fun album that always cheers me up. |
Jane's Addiction, Ritual or Notings Shocking.
|
Zwan-Mary star of the Sea
i know i know, just about everyone hates it, but not me.......i tlove listening to that album, i love how the lyrics are so happy and well written. i love the guitars, the drumming is incredible. i can listen to this album when im happy, sad, angry, lonely, and it always makes me feel better. everyone complains that its not the pumpkins......so what?! i wouldnt want it to be. i wish zwan was still around. |
Songs for the Deaf
It's funny. Speaking for myself only, I find it impossible to name a favourite band (now) and like top 5/10 albums etc... but I know my one favourite record and it hasn't changed for like 3 years. |
This is tougher than three-week old taffee.
I guess you really DID put a gun to my head, I'd say The Clash - London Calling. |
See, I always think I know, and then later on I always decide I'm wrong. I guess the only way to do this is to name the record about which I've said "This is my favorite album. Ever." the most times. And that would be Kid A by Radiohead.
