Discuss
You can discuss: Hanoi Rocks Motley Crue Faster Pussycat LA Guns Def Leppard Dogs D'amour SPiT LiKE THiS Rachel Stamp Renegade Playboys Tigertailz Autograph Skid Row Twisted Sister Ratt Winger Warrant Stryper Poison Bon Jovi Trash-era Alice Cooper XYZ Y&T etc You cannot discuss: Guns N' Roses because there's a thread for them already :eng101: No flaming, except from Eccles because I'd expect no less from the man. |
the best glam rock band was motley crue. and they weren't very good.
|
Everyone has to love Twisted Sister :amaze:
Motley crue..i liked Kickstart my heart, havent heard much else. Wouldnt Kiss qualify as a glam band? dunno. |
Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Kiss, Def Leppard... They're a yes for me. Else than that, Im not a big fan.
|
Twisted Sister are cool.
Trash-era Alice Cooper blows goats, that part of his career really sucks. I saw The Dogs D'Amour open for Alice in 2002, they sucked. I also saw The Renegade Playboys open for Dragonforce last year, they sucked and looked like they were trying really hard to be cool. |

You suck. They ownnn |
You suck. They ownnn
They suck, I own. They're weren't suited for the NEC at all. |
Glam, on the most part is poo.
The more it tries to be inventive, the more it goes back on itself. Hanoi Rocks being at least a decent Glam Rock band, and some others, Motley Crue, for example, being an absolute abysmal piece of poo. |
At least they were decadent poo
|
Does anyone else think Michael Monroe looks like a Sparrow?
 |
I like Motley Crue. I read their autobiography, "The Dirt"..some crazy stuff in there...I'm actually looking forward to the film now. Anyway, I got tickets for one of the September shows...should be a good show.
|
Trash era? Why would discuss an era when someone is garbage?
|
Anyone who hasn't sung along with a certain Warrant song hasn't really lived.
And as a Wildhearts fan, I'm kind of obliged to like the Dogs D'Amour (along with Tyla and any associated projects), but I don't actually own anything by them. |
the only glam band i like is motley crue, all the rest have ****ty vocals and sound liek girls
|
Oh man.....
|
WHITESNAKE!!!!!!!! hey i like em
|
Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, David Bowie, New York Dolls, Queen, Twisted Sister, Lou Reed (to an extent)...ah yes, glam is good.
|
I like Motley Crue
|
ewww.. glam
*shivers in fear* |
I thought glam was Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, etc.
|
Liberace \m/

Hanoi Rocks, rocks, nigga
|
This seems more like a hair metal thread than glam...
I like Twisted Sister though. And David Bowie and Queen rule if we're talking glam stuff. |
I'm a fan of Hanoi Rocks, Skid Row and Motley Crue
|
David Bowie > this thread
|
The Rolling Stones were glam to an extent, during the seventies.
|
David Bowie > us all
Fix'd. |
David Bowie > this thread
This is true. I bought The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars yesterday :thumb: |
I'm really into Hanoi Rocks at the time so in my opinion they are the best glam band. But I don't like their new CD.
Guns N' Roses is NOT glam rock. I just wanted to add that...hehe |
Bon Jovi were my favs!! Motley Crue rocked royally too. Weren't Aerosmith glam rock?
|
Bon Jovi rule. 'You Give Love A Bad Name' has got to be one of the best glam songs ever.
|

Doesn't it rule?!!?! |
Trash era? Why would discuss an era when someone is garbage?
Go away. :smash: Didn't you read what the threadstarter said? NO flaming. I'm surprised that it's coming from someone who's a mod too. I'll admit that there was alot of crap around in this era, but the highlights for me were, Motley Crue (most notably the albums Shout At The Devil, Dr. Feelgood and their self titled album), Van Halen (most of their material is excellent. Yes including Hagar era), Skid Row, Warrant, Hanoi Rocks and Posion (to some extent). |
Liberace rocked my ***, there is nothing more rocking than a man in a chinchilla coat playing Chopsticks.
|
I just downloaded the first 4 Skid Row albums. God they rocked.
*mumbles something about Kurt Cobain* I'm seeing Faster Pussycat this time next week, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |
Bon Jovi were my favs!! Motley Crue rocked royally too. Weren't Aerosmith glam rock?
no way! and anyone who consideres them so is retarded. They are a tough band to class though they range all the way from hard rock to pop. |
You've missed out most of the orignal glam rock bands, you;v emainly only included the 80's glam rock movement..People like Queen, T-Rex, David Bowie (During the Ziggy Stardust period) were all very influentail glam rock bands during the 70's..I love Alice Cooper perosnally, one of my favorite artists of all time. Queen of course are amazing!! Mott The Hoople were also great at one point, a very underrated band...Mud, Iggy Pop, Suade are also decent bands but not my favorites!
|
I misspelt the title, it was supposed to be The Glam/Hair Metal Thread
If you want to talk about Bowie or T Rex get your own thread. But the Dolls own, they can stay. |
Bon Jovi and Van Halen IMO are the kings of the glam/hair metal era.
